Great December vacation!
We stayed Dec 10-14th, on the 4th floor. Amazing views. After reading some reviews about rms not being clean, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean our rm was! Even behind dressars. BUT upon entering our rm, the heavy odor of Pot hit us. Every room reeked of it. I dont know how housekeeping didn't notice it. We called the front desk and someone came right up and thoroughly sprayed our room, the beds, carpet, curtains etc and the odor was neutralized1 No further problems during our 4 night stay. We couldn't spend as much time as we liked on our balcony because someone on another balcony was smoking it, but thats not the hotels fault. It was a shame because even though its Dec the temps were in the upper 60's beautiful weather! Our bed was comfortable, not too firm or too soft! Bathroom, while the vanity is small, there is a shelf underneath and a 2 shelf towel rack over the toilet. Plenty of room for all 4 of us to store our items! The kids used the pool, I wish the hot tub could have been used but because of covid, it wasn't filled. Pool area, exercise area, etc were all clean and well maintained. There was a tv in living rm and bedroom, and surprisingly a lot of channels to choose from. Large refrigerator, stove with oven and a microwave. You couldn't open the microwave door all the way, once you got about 1/3r open it would start scraping the wall and you couldn't fully open it. Theres a toaster and a full size coffee maker. Tiny coffee cups, only held about 5 oz. We had taken our Keurig and had to use it on the lowest setting with those cups. Only place settings for 4, no glasses just those plastic cups. Rooms were very quiet. Sat night we had people on both sides of us and we never heard them. We came to see the lights on the boardwalk and went through friday night. Not much of a wait then, But Sat and Sunday night the lines were really long with Sat night having 2 long lines of traffic. Getting back to the hotel after about 6 pm was a nightmare! We thought if we went to one of the lower streets like 7th or 8th, we could cut across and come left back up to the hotel but even that took a long time because people were waiting to cut in line instead of going to the rear of the line. For that reason, we will never stay on the southern end again but go back up to the northern end. For anything else, we would definitely stay here. Every employee we encountered wore a mask properly, were polite and courteous.
DIRTIEST HOTEL IN VA BEACH!
Good grief, with practically no guests, why is this hotel so dirty? I could barely see the ocean through the dirty windows. The continental breakfast was disgusting. The noise that is generated from the gaps in the door makes it virtually impossible to get a good night's sleep. Will NOT go back here.
Great Location
We loved our stay at this resort especially the location. Staff was friendly and had no issues. Rooms were clean but some kitchen cabinets had some oil stains on it which we ended up clesning. Parking onsite was full so we ended up parking in garage across the street and was not a big deal as it was covered as part of our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved watching the morning sunrise right from our room and the beach.
Nice week
Went the second week in November...had a decent weather week, actually sat on the beach to read a few days.Perfect beachfront view of the ocean, enjoyed the indoor pool. Pullout bed in the living room was uncomfortable, but management provided an additional mattress which solved that problem. They also replaced a leaky refrigerator for us. Kitchen worked well, but the oven could have been a little cleaner.Towels were exchanged every day, we took care of our own trash. The unit was nice, but a little too small for 3 big adults. We love VA Beach, but probably need a 2 bedroom in the future because the unit as I said was a bit tight. Management overall was very helpful.
Very nice
The unit is small put nice. There is only two rooms. Very comfortable. It has a deck which is very nice. It is right on the beach, which is very nice. We saw dolphin. Lots of dolphin. Pelican. We walked the beach almost every day. We will definitely go back
