Super!

It's a very nice family hotel next to the beach. The owners are very nice and always ready to help. Our room was cleaned every day, it had shower, toilet and air conditioning. Positioning generally is very good, the beach is close, the restaurants too, if you need to buy something then can go to the shop Galaxias for food and beach stuff.

The best little hotel in Nea Anchialos!

Avaliou em 3 de outubro de 2017

We have stayed here before and just keep coming back. This is a small family run hotel just across the street from the beach [as are all hotels here]. It is clean and fresh and has wonderful staff! The served breakfast is wonderful and a real value. We love this place. There are lots of restaurants nearby and all are good. Our favorite is Galaxias where we sit and sip and eat Mezdes on the beach...See my full review at travelspirit.ca

We have been coming to this wonderful familyrun hotel for 7 years now. Good beds, very clean, very friendly people. The best part is the breakfast, tasty homemade pies and every day something else. And of course the view!

Lots of greenery, gorgeous view, super-clean!

I have returned to the town of Nea Anchialos and this particular hotel for the first time in twenty-two (!) years and, just like back then, I can do nothing but recommend it to everybody who likes the casual atmosphere, does not mind smaller rooms and bathrooms and appreciates the excellent view of the promenade and the Aegean sea. The star ratings don't do a favour to a place like this, really. It has soul. Before you book, keep in mind that this is a family-run 1 star hotel, of course. I find it suitable for a longer stay, but if luxury is your kind of a thing, you might not. Out of the five hotels located on the waterfront, this might as well be the quietest one, as it's the furthest one away from busy restaurants on the beach. This is still a really small distance, as everything in this town is close and four of the five hotels are literally one next to the other. Similarly, Pyrassos offers the best view from the front balconies, as the said restaurants do not get in the way. You can have a good look at the sunrise from both floors, a a view of the southern side of the bay to the right and Pelion and Volos in the distance to the left. Below your feet, there will be a carefully trimmed canopy of ornamental mulberries. The said mulberries provide shade on the marble-covered veranda all day long. At most times, you can have your breakfast on the said veranda, too. If it's windy, it's even better, but make sure you secure whatever you have with you, as it may fly away. This is true for the town beach as well, by the way. Most rooms in this hotel are quite small, but well-equipped. At the point of writing this, some of them had their furniture updated, the others still feature a somewhat rustic decor. All rooms have great WiFi, a TV, mini-fridge (tip: it may be in the closet if your room is one of the updated ones!) and air conditioning included in price. The balconies are spacey enough, with a table, pair of chairs and a parasol. If you're in the room 12 or 25, watch out when drying your stuff, as those two are right above the main entrance. The things that may put some people off are hard beds and pillows and the lack of blankets. Personally, I like hard beds because I don't wake up with lower back pain as I do on soft ones, but that's up to one's personal preference. As for the latter, just look on the top shelf of your closet and you'll find an additional pillow and blankets. The bathrooms are fairly small, too, but the ventilation is good, there are shower curtains now (I don't think that a shower cabin can fit in there) and you get two towels per person and toiletries. The toilet paper rolls are regularly added. There is no handle on the wall in the shower area, but there are shower stools and no-slip mats available. The floor is marble - no dusty carpets or rugs. I would suggest you to bring your own repellent, as the greenery may attract a mosquito or two, pegs and a 2-3 metre extension cable, as the balconies are a great place for long writing sessions on your laptop, especially at night, but the power outlet closest to most of them is not Schuko-compatible. The breakfast is served on demand, and in most cases, you'll get ham and cheese toasties, sliced bread with a variety of spreads, coffee and tea, juice and a slice of cake. We have also been served some fruit salad, tea biscuits, ham/cheese/bell pepper omelettes and tomatoes and olives drizzled with olive oil. Overall, this kind of a breakfast is good enough to keep you full until early in the evening, when you can dash to one of the waterfront restaurants after a dip in the sea. The cleaning ladies come every day after breakfast to clean and empty the trash, and the towels and linen are changed every three days or so. I had a mishap and I stained the bedsheet with coloured lip balm - it was changed without any request. The staff is very kind and helpful - the owner speaks good English, so does the breakfast lady. We will definitely come back again and again. Other things that may help: - Probably not wheelchair accessible - impossible to have an elevator or a ramp, given the shape of the stairs etc. - No lift. - No lunch or dinner options, but there are restaurants that offer gorgeous sea food just across the street, as well as über-budget ones in the transit street some 200 metres away. - You may hear planes since the airport is close, but that's probably true for many places in Nea Anchialos.
