Beautiful Property; Wonderful Service

My wife and I spent a night at Blue Rock Inn and were pleasantly surprised by the Inn. The property is beautiful with the nicely appointed Inn overlooking a large pond and the mountains in the distance. We had an exceptional dinner at the Inn that evening and the continental breakfast served to us in our room was spectacular, and very special. Not your usual fare or service for in-room dining. We will definitely go back to this special place.

Valentine's Day Delight

It was our first visit to the Inn. Valentine's Day is also my wife's birthday, so we needed something special, and the Inn did not disappoint. Our room was nice, with a small patio and an unbelievably comfortable bed. The meal that evening was exceptional. Because it was Valentine's Day, it was 5 courses and each course was excellent. We will definitely return, probably more than once.

What a wonderful surprise! The entire place is a small handful of beautiful rooms and one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in years. Check in, freshen up, hit the tasting room, go to dinner, grab your nightcap in the tasting room and finish it in your bed! Loved the upscale but unpretentious touches. They look and feel of the place is the definition of relaxation.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms and the property are very nicely decorated. The food (breakfast and bar appetizers) were great. A very relaxng environment. We visited in December and would love to return in the spring to enjoy the outdoor seating with beautiful view of pond.

Dinner here was nothing short of amazing. It began with an amuse bouche to end all amuse bouches: a strawberry gazpacho that had so many layers of flavors that one savored every sip and all its components. The crab meat custard was sublime, and the fresh peas added texture and flavor to make the crab pop. The ciabatta with chili butter was ought of this world--literally the best damn bread I have ever eaten. The rib eye was perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned and the ox tail was a brilliant complement. The hasselback potatoes were a revelation: part potato chip, part creamy starch, and elegant presentation to boot. All in the all, the best meal in 3 years, and in those years, meals at Gordon Ramsey's, Michelin starred restaurants in DC, and restaurants in NYC and Philly. Donna at the front desk was warm and knowledgeable, and really a delight to chat with. And all this for 99bdollars per person (I've paid seven times for less). We already dream of our return visit.
