Solid Comfort Suites Experience

We recently stayed here for one night driving through town and it was exactly what we were looking for: comfortable and convenient. The staff was friendly at check in (and masked up!). Our room was large, clean, had a comfortable bed, lots of table space/surfaces and lots of outlets. There was a desk chair as well as an armchair, providing plenty of room to spread out. There was also the expected fridge and microwave. The room was nicely decorated with local Maryland décor from Monocacy National Battlefield. The room had nearly total blackout curtains if needed, though we liked our view of the adjoining farm fields. The shower temperature took a bit of work to figure out, but water pressure was good and the shower got nice and hot. The bathroom fan was a little loud, but it's always good to have. Breakfast was pretty good, given COVID precautions: a sausage, egg and cheese croissant and a nutrigrain bar for each person, as well as having cereal out and available. Coffee was out and was quite good for hotel coffee. The marketplace by the front desk was also very well-stocked if you were looking for more toiletries or snacks. We thought this hotel was doing a good job managing with COVID’s difficulties while still providing a good customer experience at a reasonable price. We would readily stay here again.

We stayed in a pet friendly room, it was in ill repair, broken light on desk, ripped lamp shades, some stains on the sheets, old and outdated room I wouldn't recommend staying in a pet friendly room. The breakfast was a bag breakfast, not very good either.

Comfortable but Pool/ Fitness closed

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the desk clerks were polite, friendly and helpful. The fitness center, pool and hot tub were closed and breakfast was a cold mediocre sausage sandwich and a granola bar. This is a good place if you just need a comfortable place to sleep on your way to somewhere else, but not if you need to entertain the kids while doing so.

This is among the worst Comfort Inns I have ever endured. Extremely poor value for the price we paid, even given the usual lack of amenities caused by the pandemic. Our room was in serious need of repairs. Lampshades were cracked plastic, the television and refrigerator were ill fitted for the furniture, and there were two large metal brackets above the bed which obviously had some kind of artwork attached at one time. We had to call the front desk to get the tv to work. The bathroom fan was extremely loud and came on whenever the light was on. The shower head leaked. And the so called continental breakfast was two choices of cold cereal, neither of which looked appealing. Not much else. Why bother? After our last two Choice Hotel experiences we are about ready to throw in the towel with the entire chain.

Rare Great Breakfast During Covid

This hotel, which is clean and spacious, is providing a great breakfast during Covid safely and in a large area. Unlike many hotels right now, it is not using the virus as an excuse to provide a grab n go which, in many cases, is so skimpy it should be called "gran n go to the nearest restaurant.... a mighty inconvenience for those of us on a tight schedule. My advice right now if you are a breakfast person is to calll any hotel you plan to stay in and skip it if it does not meet your basic needs. This hotel was the best I stayed in on my trip.
