Business
Such a great experience! The staff was amazing, and so helpful to me. I was in for a business trip and didn’t know any places around town. They recommended a great restaurant close by. Our room was really clean.

four week stay. nice location near shopping and airport, clean room with full size fridge. the vent fan over the stovetop wasn't strong enough for any actual cooking, and blew gross air into my face when it was on. other than that, friendly staff and okay bed. wasn't a bad stay but also not crazy about the place
Do yourself a favor, and find a different place to stay
My wife and I were in the Sacramento area for a social event on a Saturday evening, which was then followed by an athletic event early Sunday morning. We wanted to be near the athletic event venue so that we did not have a long drive. Perhaps the only positive comment I can make about this hotel was that it was relatively convenient. We have stayed at Extended Stay locations previously, and in comparison to other chains that provide more of an "apartment" or room with kitchen accommodation, have always found Extended Stay sites to be wanting. As a result, we avoid Extended Stay sites whenever possible. In this particular case, there was no avoiding it. As poor as the experience at other Extended Stay locations has been, this one was really outstanding, as in outstandingly bad. With 20-20 hindsight, I think we would have been better off leaving Berkeley at 4:30 AM and driving an hour and a half to the athletic event. We arrived, and checked into our room. It was a bit of a shock. I was under the impression that textured walls and ceilings had gone out of fashion in the 1970s, but if you ever want to do some design time travel, then you may wish to stay here. It was simply ugly. As nasty as the room was, this was outdone by the bathroom. The walls were either a dark brown or a mocha, and the shower/bath enclosure and bathroom counter looked like someone had taken corn chowder and meatloaf, processed it coarsely in a food processor, and cast it into a bathtub enclosure and counter. If the bedroom section was ugly, this was even worse. We then come to the "kitchen". I like to have a kitchen when I travel. I don't always use it, but I like to have one. I like being able to make a cup of coffee in the morning before showering and getting dressed. If I happen upon a market or farm, then sometimes a dinner in your room becomes an attractive option. In the morning, particularly if you need to get up early, it is nice to be able to make a simple breakfast. This hopefully provides some context. My urges/desires with regard to a kitchen may be very different from yours. The "kitchen" had a two-burner stove and a microwave, and a refrigerator. So what was the problem? Well, it had absolutely nothing else, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. Not a cup, not a plate, not a piece of silverware, not a coffeemaker, not a pot or pan, nothing. So then you see a little sign that says (in “marketingspeak”) that you should call the front desk and select what things you would like them to bring to your room to "customize" your kitchen. Right! This is exactly what I want to do late in the evening when I paid $240 for a single night. Since you may not be fluent in “marketingspeak”, allow me to provide a rough translation into common English: We don’t want you to use the kitchen because it creates work for us. We have to check and see if you used dishes and silverware, and coffee grounds can be messy. We are happy to charge you a premium for the concept of a kitchen, but we really don't want you to use it. It is much easier for us if the barriers that we create cause you to go and eat outside the hotel instead. After all, there are fast food options right nearby. Thank you for understanding, and we’d prefer that you not call the front desk with items that make the kitchen functional because in reality we really just want you to check in, check out, and pay for the room. Thank you kindly, and enjoy your stay. Remember, we want your stay to be a perfect “10”. Whoever came up with this concept of “customizing” a kitchen should be forced to spend all of their hotel nights in an Extended Stay with this “service model”. No thank you. I might give them a 10 if the scale were based on a scale of 1000. I would have rather stayed 20 miles farther away, and had a decent lodging experience. I sleep with earplugs and still woke up from the noise in adjoining rooms. And it was not just the ugliness of the space, and the lack of features, and the noise, but also an issue of cleanliness. As I was showering, I noticed that someone had left the protective cover of their razor on a ledge. It was not mine. I wondered how long it had been there. Then I noticed the long black hair seemingly stuck to the bathroom doorframe. Neither of us have long black hair. How long had that been there? Then you look up and see these quarter-inch diameter beads of brown stuff growing on the ceiling of the bathroom. Oh, how lovely. It did somewhat go with the dark brown color of the one wall. I was thankful I was up to date on my immunizations and vaccines. If at all possible, avoid a stay in this hotel.
Great Stay!
This review is long over due!! Always a excellent stay! I feel comfortable and safe everytime I visit, I thought I wouldn't be able to check in due to a card issue but the staff new exactly how to handle it and got me checked in! All the staff members are incredible! George definitely stands out in the staff, He's a kind gentleman and whenever I needed more toilet paper or such he'd assist very quickyly. The rooms are always clean, I have no bad comments! Highly Recommend

Had an excellent encounter with Vanessa Barajas. She took the time to help me with my dishes by carrying them to the room. My stay here at west sacramento extended stay was good. I would recommend staying at this location.
