Amazing hideaway in the midlands

We stayed with Anne and Warwick a few years ago (2018, unfortunately I am not a regular TripAdvisor user which explains why only writing a review now!). The O'Hara's provided one of the warmest and most delightful stays I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. At the time, Dinner was an option at Mornington House, going by more recent reviews, I am not sure if this is still the case. If it is, then I can heartily recommend partaking in it, as well as breakfast as both are excellent meals. The mealtimes are also a wonderful chance to engage further with the lovely hosts and the charming other guests that fin this hidden gem.

Warick and Ann are the most welcomeing hosts ever, we had a wonderful stay in their B&B which is full of history and style and has a lovely walled garden just like the castles we saw, the breakfast is delicious and the serounding is beautiful.
The Most Wonderful Place to Stay

This was the last couple days of our couple weeks in Ireland -- and what a way to finish the vacation!
Warwick and Anne O'Hara are fabulous hosts, anxious to please, knowledgeable, and fascinating people. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with them. Warwick cooks a "mean breakfast", to say the least. And Anne prepares gourmet dinners -- served in the spacious and elegant dining room, after you spend time in the parlor beforehand.
Our room on the second floor was very large, with a bathroom the size of many hotel rooms. It was classy -- not modern, but authentic and comfortable. Look our the windows at the donkeys, the grounds, the view towards the river. In back is a beautiful large garden, mainly ornamental but with some materials for dinner. Clearly maintaining this country house is a labor of love for the O'Hara's. Join them for a couple days and you will see why!!
This is a great base for exploring the ancient ruins in the east -- the Hill of Tara and Newgrange, for instance. And it is only an hour from Dublin Airport when you eventually have to go home.
And, no, it is not a "B&B"! It is a manor house, part of Hidden Ireland. Enjoy!
Unmissable - The warmest of welcomes..

.lAwaits you at Mornington. Warwick and Anne are outstanding hosts, always ready to help in any way to make your stay special. Beautiful surroundings, elegant, comfortable, spacious rooms and the garden is a treat to walk in. Don’t pass on this one if you are staying in Westmeath. The breakfast is excellent (not to mention plentiful) too!

A charming manor house, grounds, and walled garden with a long history that is lovingly maintained. Beautiful, comfortable rooms and baths. Breakfast made to order and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with the owners Warwick and Anna. Close to many sites and an hour from Dublin.
