Used to stay here several times a year. It has become a dive.Went to room. Toilet stopped up. No maintenance to bring plunger. Had us pick up move to another room. No biggie. Closed the curtains and the privacy curtain was ripped and shredded like Edward scissorhands attacked it. Couch stained everywhere. It was a disgusting visit. Customer service is not so good. Cleaning crew had vulgar unedited rap music playing, with F this and that and nigga this and that. Ridiculous.
Horrible Customer Service
We tried to reserve a block of rooms for our wedding weekend. The representative we spoke to was a little rude as she explained that we could not hold a block of rooms without giving them our credit card information. We thought this was very odd as we have held blocks of rooms with other HiExpress locations before. As a result, we simply asked our guests to call or go online for their reservations. A week before the wedding, my mother-in-law called to confirm her room. Even though she had a confirmation email with a confirmation number, the person at the front desk told her that her reservations had been cancelled. We then found out that they had added 2 rooms to my husband's reservation. We spent about 2 days talking to different representatives trying to figure out what was going on. Then my mother called to confirm a handicap room for my grandparents. The representative she initially spoke with was very unhelpful. However, The manager, Jamie, was able to assist her only when she visited in-person. Next, upon checking-in, my out-of-town wedding coordinator was shown not one, but TWO moldy/musty smelling rooms. The young man at the check-in counter was very patient and even agreed that the rooms did not smell fresh. After the second room did not work, they volunteered one of the executive suites. Stick with me, it gets better. The day of my wedding (actually 3 hours before the ceremony started), the hotel staff began harassing other guests because they were trying to get in get in touch with my coordinator. They wanted her to switch rooms because they now needed the suite for someone else. Later, the guests they contacted let us know that the hotel staff was very short and rude to them while on the phone. I was so embarrassed that we had recommended this hotel.
Pitt Stop
This Holiday Inn was right off the interstate which was nice at 11;30 pm and road weary .The front desk clerk was very nice and informative. Usually at this time of night they can be on the rude side, but her positive attitude got me though the check in process. Hotel was clean, smelled clean as well. lighting was good inside and out. I did not stay for breakfast and it would have been simple due to Covid. I recommend this hotel if traveling
Covid 19 visit
We found conveniently located, quiet and we got a good nights sleep. The "breakfast" was the worst of four different Holiday Inn Express hotels we stayed at during the Covid 19 restrictions. No coffee available!
Relaxed
Spacious room, wonderful staff and decent location for food. Has a pool but do to Corona Virus, I was not able to enjoy most of the amenities but still had a great time. Would recommend but in front of the hotel is not pedestrian friendly so I would suggest having a car.
