The bedbugs love it here

Bedbugs, dirty, broken, bad soggy food and bad staff. Multiple bedbug bites, sticky floors, peeling wallpaper, trash full and left overflowing. Lightbulbs not changed, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, ice maker not cleaned, cooktop caked with burnt food. Room door didn't latch properly. A single poorly trained employee seems to man the front desk. Marriott needs to investigate mismanagement by the owner. Shockingly subpar by Marriott standards and a health hazard. Avoid this train wreck at all costs.

Worst Marriott I have ever stayed! I cannot believe it is a Marriott! Bed bugs, unsanitary dirty room, dirty dishes, broken drinking glass, no soap in the bathroom, peeling wallpaper, gas station soggy food for breakfast, no service at all, pool is closed in hot weather, absent maids and supervisor.

I was unable to stay in my over $250 room due to bed bug infestation, which we discovered at 1:30 am when we returned to our room. Bed bugs in the bathroom, along the bed frame, on the desk, in my friend’s bag, in the suite kitchen. I have geotagged photos of the bed bugs. The hotel was fully booked so we knew we would have to find another hotel since we would not stay in an unsanitary, bed bug infested room. We requested a refund at the front desk. The attendant refused the refund, refused to help, refused to give any documentation of my complaint, refused to have anyone check the room or check it himself. He said that reimbursement would have to come through Priceline where I had booked the room. He said I could speak to the manager in the morning (“Brandy”). I requested a form or a way to officially document the issue so that I could share that with Priceline. I had a feeling that the hotel would not reimburse me. The attendant suddenly interrupted me, became aggressive with me, raised his voice, then began yelling and threatened to call police if we did not leave immediately. He continued yelling at me so we left because we felt intimidated. He was not wearing any uniform or name tag. After 3 days of me trying to reach management and Priceline, with multiple desk attendants saying managers were not on the premises, the GM Scott returned my call and said Orkin had inspected the room and found no bed bugs. He refused reimbursement. I am not surprised that after 3 days of the hotel being able to clean the room that Orkin did not find much. Why would I, a customer who just wanted a peaceful night’s sleep and who had already pre-paid the room, lie about bed bugs? We were unable to use the room. We had to drive to Durham and pay for another room. I also noticed that my card was charged twice - once through Priceline and once from Residence Inn. This is fraud. I simply requested full reimbursement for this room which I was unable to stay in due to unsanitary conditions and reached no hotel employees or managers who were sympathetic, apologetic, or in any way helpful.

Check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large, especially for just one night. Bathroom was spacious and a very large work area in the living space. It was perfect for our needs. Comfortable bed as well and good location. Lots of parking a plus.

I recently invited a couple of family members to stay with me while on business . My family members really wanted to take advantage of the pool while they were here and unfortunately the pool was closed. They commented to be how the patio furniture and sitting area were filthy with stains on the lounge furniture table and chairs. There were cigarette butts thrown in the fire pit and the ashtray was overflowing and dirty ..The patio deck looked like it hadn’t been washed in many months with weeds growing between the cracks . Breakfast didn’t start on time and the Gym and laundry area looked neglected and unkept. The rooms were adequate although there is still no turn down service and found old grocery bags in a kitchen drawer. I opened the dishwasher and there were still dirty dishes with food stuck to them . I really felt embarrassed my family members had to stay in such a neglected place . I understand that Covid has slowed service and businesses are short staffed, but you are a MARRIOTT PROPERTY! and it falls short of the Marriott standards ! Please step up and make it right …. I’ve stayed in many Residence Inns across the country and this is by far the worst
