A little tired but ok
Inside the hotel is a little tired. Photos make it appear nicer than it is, that said it was comfortable enough, staff were polite. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here again unless I couldn’t find anything else, but if I had to it would be ok. Breakfast is overrated - lukewarm coffee and a cereal bar.
My stay at extended stay Waco-Woodway.
I"ve had a great stay and have enjoyed the service given by staff, Ronda made me fill at home, she's a hunter as well as i, had lots of stories to share, I've been here for several months and have months to go, I have nothing but praise for the staff and room very nice, bed comfortable. Thanks staff and Rhonda for making my stay from home a great stay.
Glad mine was not an 'extended' stay !
At first sight, the hotel looks quite nicely renovated/designed, but it quickly unravels. I moved the bedside table to plug in my charger, and it was an awful, filthy, sight . . . similarly under the bed . . . not swept for a long time. There was a large pile of 'fluff' outside our door all weekend, and despite requests, it was never removed. Contrary to the advertisements, there was absolutely no equipment in the kitchen, we had to report to the front desk to be issued with a knife and fork. We were allocated a single towel in our bathroom (yes, one !) and was the thinnest, smallest bath towel I have yet come across.Another trip to the front desk for more. Single ply toilet paper (always an indicator of over-zealous cost controls . . . this one never works anyway) . I think advertising 'breakfast' is false advertising as it looked so awful and so minimalist that we went out. The bed was beyond firm . . it was almost crippling. Glad I wasn't staying longer . . . and in any case, if this is for longer stays, how do they get away with that tiny closet (obscured by a curtain, not a door). No newspapers despite a $150 room rate. But the worst was when we asked for an extra pillow, only to be told that "we do not give out extra pillows on weekends". W H A T ??? !!!
Disorganized and Understaffed
I stayed at this hotel for about 3 weeks while looking for an apartment. When I initially booked the room I was given two price option, one with cleaning and one without. I paid for cleaning and upon check in I was told cleaning would only happen 1 day a week. I was told the cleaning day would be Monday. The rooms was never cleaned on Monday. The staff did not clean it until at the earliest Wednesday. The managers excuse to me was that she was understaffed. My first night I was unable to get the room I booked and was given a double for the night. That night I had to change rooms because the first room was dirty. The next night I was able to move into a queen size room and the bathroom smelled like smoke (the rooms state they are non-smoking). I paid week to week or 5 days at a time and at the end of my stay there was confusion on how many nights I had paid for. On my last day I was unexpectedly awakened by the assistant manager as she tried to come into the room after only knocking once. She tells me the room was only paid up to the night before. I had just checked with the attendant the two nights prior to make sure I was fully paid for the week. When I went down stairs to discuss this with the assistant manager I was told they wanted me to pay for the room during the weekday when they are there. Im not sure how they expected people to pay during the day when people are at work. Overall you are over paying to be given unclean rooms and majority of a staff that could careless if you get service.
The staff at the Waco, Texas location was very, very nice. No issue with them. And very clean rooms. However, the beds are EXTREMELY firm, so did not get a good nights sleep. It is a 3 story facility with one baggage cart that had two flat tires. The bathroom door swings out into the room. When it is open you cannot get to the exterior door, or into the room from the exterior door. Small TV is on a low table and cannot be viewed from the bed. Again, the staff is awesome.
