Stayed 3 nights at end of June as touring base / seeing friends. Rooms are set in quite courtyard, mine was perfectly clean / adequate and quiet. No daily room service but wasn't bothered by that. Staff in pub restaurant were very friendly , special mention to the lady in charge in the evenings. Breakfast did the job, restaurant food in the evening excellent, with good variety.. Very competitively priced. Would return and definitely recommend.

Couldn’t sleep because of stuffy atmosphere and uncomfortable bed with few pillows. I am amazed that the room was not serviced during our two night stay, obviously COVID no longer an excuse for really poor service. When an unsafe kettle plug was pointed out, a member of staff said they were aware of it. Problems with the shower base was met with the same response.

We have just spent 2 nights at The Bull Inn in Woolpit and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was small but very comfortable with a contemporary feel. The bathroom was clean and there were lots of towels and toiletries. The room was very quiet. The breakfast was fantastic - had the full English both mornings and the quality was excellent - delicious bacon and sausages, especially. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff at this hotel are excellent, as is the standard of the food. Unfortunately the room we were allocated No 8, was appalling. It was so dark, even with all the lights on. There was no information pack, in the event of a fire, we wouldn't have known where to go. The bathroom was horrendous the toilet was so soiled it was back at the bottom of the bowl. I didn't even attempt to get in the shower as I probably would have been dirtier when I got out. Our other 4 friends that stayed had a much better standard. There rooms had been recently renovated. If ours was the only twin bedded room and if that's what they think is suitable then I am horrified. Plus we had to pay the same price as the luxury rooms our friends had.

Well located and set in wonderful well maintained grounds. Well presented, compact and adequate accommodation. perfect for a quiet and peaceful sleep. I would have given this place a five star rating, however during our stay of three nights our room was never serviced or cleaned.This was raised with the management and was this was due to Covid restrictions. Which I found to be a lame excuse as having spent the last two weeks travelling throughout the country and staying at various hotels I never experienced similar problems. But I accepted the situation as one cannot dispute Covid restrctions. Hopefully they go away!
