- Host: 1) Vivi is such a friendly and fun person to talk to. During my 2 night stay, I would have long chats with her every morning during breakfast and when I got back from Taroko Gorge. 2) Vivi also applied for the Zhuilu Old Trail permit for me! - Facilities: 1) Clean, spacious, breakfast and coffee/water included. 2) Plenty of motorbike/car parking. 3) 15 minute drive to Taroko Gorge, 5 minute drive to the nearest 7-11.

The property is well-situated near Taroko Gorge and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Amenities are comfortable and the homemade breakfast was fantastic. The true highlight of the stay, however, were the lengths to which hospitality were extended by the fabulous host. I called multiple times beforehand to ask about certain logistics about the area, and she was willing to offer friendly and helpful advice. She woke up at 6 to offer me breakfast before I left, drove me and picked me up from the scooter store, and even booked an early morning taxi for me while I was out hiking. Fabulous hospitality that feels almost too good to be true - thank you so much for making my stay easy and fun!!

Read all the reviews and always wonder whether it’s too good to be true ....thankfully all the reviews were accurate as this place is amazing!! Made more so by the friendly and gracious host and owner Vivi. The place is a B&B so bear that in mind, this is not full of vast facilities like a hotel. But saying that it came close as I was so impressed with the cleanliness (spotless), location and the room size. I wanted for nothing there was a TV in the room showing all sorts of channels including US cable channels which came in handy after two tiring gorge walking days . The bathroom is well equipped and spacious and the room has really good WiFi and air conditioning. Whilst there is no fridge or kettle in your room , each floor has its own fridge, kettle and water dispenser to use at will. You want for nothing. Location wise it’s a 15 minute walk to Xincheng station, where you can get the 302 bus to Taroko (under 10 mins to the park) but Vivi was so helpful and picked me up and dropped me off on several occasions . Local restaurants are no more than 15-20 minutes walk, and i was given an easy to follow local map as well, as bus times for Taroko and a map of the walks. She also pointed out which ones were closed saving me loads of time. Breakfast was great different on each day hit the spot and kept me going through the day. Even more so I had my laundry done for free which was a special and added bonus. If you need a place to stay to get round Taroko this is definitely the place to be and highly recommended. oh yeah and on checkout you’re given some lovely homemade cookies 😊

Great place to stay if you are planning a trip to the mountains and the taroko, lesser traveling early in the morning. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Love the themed rooms. Hot and cold drinking water as well as coffee and tea bags for free. Breakfast was great. Owner let us use the bicycles they have to head to nearby town to explore. A short cycle to town. Owner is very nice to drive us to train station if we arrange with earlier. If not it’s a short and beautiful walk from train station. Owners makes us feel welcomed. Love it. Will stay there again. Beach short cycle away. Town has some nice cafes and an nice aboriginal cafe/resto that’s nice to visit. Extra tip: if going to the mountainous area in Taiwan in spring or summer (I went in April) beware of bug bites(google forcipomyia taiwana ). Repellent up or wear long pants. I had over 100 bites.

We had a real good stay here. The couple that is running this place was very helpfull. Gave is good tips were to go in Toroko. Which was amazing! Breakfast was good, the room very clean and the bed was super! He gave us a ride to the scooter rental and also to the train station. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
