I had written a review prior to this one, however because I was threatened by the manager Patik, to be thrown to the street and be homeless because he was NOT going to give us a refund after we paid him 3 days early for our week stay! And he was going to make sure we were band from ever stay at another Motel 6 chain because we filed this complaint after 5 days of him ignoring us! We had been staying at this location for almost 4mths for my husbands job. We ALWAYS paid on time or early. During our Thanksgiving our fridge went out. It stopped cooling. It took us 5 total days and constantly making trips to the office before we were ever acknowledged! We lost our Thanksgiving dinner and all of our groceries! The fridge stunk so bad we had to duct tape it tight! When the manager Patik did finally show up he blamed us for purposely breaking the fridge and ruining our groceries and he was going to kick us out and was angry because we called corporate and didn't care that we were NICE enough to wait 5 days before we did! We gave him the last of our money paying him 3days early for our week stay. He would NOT refund our money and he told us that we needed to leave that he didn't care that we paid him. That he could do what he wanted because he was the owner/manager and WE OWED him money for his broken fridge! He is an absolute BULLY!, and I watched him do this to several other tenants at this hotel that were there for work and long period stays. He threatens these poor people that work HARD for their money to pay him! And he scares and threatens these customers of his that he will take their money and throw them out! Because he doesnt want to fix the MANY problems this place has. The sad part is these people WANT to stay there and have no choice and he uses that! He even went as far as to tell us we were wrong for using towels to soak up the water leaking from his fridge! This was only ONE incident from this place! Before this we had mildew on our sheets and mattresses! Our bathroom ceiling would leak from the people showering above us and he also tried blaming us for damages to a door that we made a point to take pics of and have him look at when we first checked in! To see that the damage was there before us! He told us it was all our fault and he had the right to kick us out, keep our money knowing we had no more money to go anywhere else! We were blessed by some friends that saved us from this dreadful place and we are now staying with them. I have NEVER felt more insulted and bullied in my life. This was the worst experience EVER!
When we first checked in, it smelled moldy/mildewy, but it is TX after all and we didn't think much about it. As the days went on, in the bathroom, the smell became stronger and we were having respiratory issues (stuffed up, kinda hard to breathe, etc.) and looked harder at the bathroom. What we found was black mold in the door joint by the tissue holder. Will be sending a formal complaint to the corporate office - this is something that should be checked for regularly in a humid environment and should be treated immediately when found. Obviously, no one is making sure that that happens. This is also detrimental to the housekeeping staff who work there as the bathrooms are cleaned much more frequently than any other part of the room. Staff need to be educated on what to took for as this can affect their health as well. Will NOT stay here again.

She handled everything very professionally, friendly, and never seemed overwhelmed at all, and handled each family one at a time. Very helpful and knew the area well, and knew the restaurants in area.. Almost all of us just lost everything to the flood and she showed concern & compassion. I'd give her a star of her own.. The hotel itself, well they need some new housekeepers, room wasn't filthy but could had been cleaned alot better.. But it was only one night stay. Went to check out the next morning around 9, and Carrie was already back at work, friendly like the night before and checked us out very professionally.. Front desk was attentive to our needs. Housekeepers are friendly. Children enjoyed the swimming pool. They allow you to bring your pets. And the parking lots are well lit and situated right off the highway near many restaurants
Get what you pay for
Cheap room, decent location. Always came back to the room to our beds being made and fresh towels. The rooms offer little to no quiet time, walls are super thin, and interstate traffic makes it tough to sleep sometimes. Room service started knocking on our door at about 830 almost every morning, which makes it tough to sleep in and enjoy the vacation.
