This is a very nice old historical hotel that brings back an old feel of what things were like back in the days it was built. Lots of old pictures to look at in lobby and through out the hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Christmas night parade family weekend
We stayed at the liberty Hotel and had three rooms on December 7, 2019. The operations manager and the general manager were absolutely incredible. They introduced us to the staff, they showed us around the hotel, and overall the hospitality was off the charts! My husband and I travel a lot; and we have never received a warm welcome anywhere else like we did at this hotel. They made our entire family feel welcome. And the Christmas parade setup inside and outside was phenomenal. They even had a room for the kids to do crafts with snacks. We could watch the parade from the inside of the hotel, if we got too cold. They had a small mini bar, a bunch of Christmas cookies and appetizers with large windows so we could watch the parade. This hotel thought of all the little things to make guests comfy. We were pleasantly surprised at everything. They even lined up chairs on the sidewalk and in the street for us to watch the Christmas night parade which made our Christmas trip with our family most enjoyable. These folks and their staff went out of their way, above and beyond duty to make the customers visit extremely comfortable, fun, and enjoyable. The hotel was immaculate too. Rooms were nice; beds were comfy and breakfast was good. . Only one problem, the shades wouldn’t open n close. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a place to stay in Cleburne Texas We commend them for a job well done Thank you so much for helping us make family memories for a lifetime.
Pretty hotel and large rooms, with a few glitches
This was my first stay at this hotel, as I was visiting a friend who recently moved to Cleburne. I stayed on the 4th floor in a King room that had a full-size sleeper sofa. The room was large, elegant-looking and had lots of floor space. A very vintage look while still functioning like a modern hotel. There were a few disappointments, however. The Roman shades in my room would not open. The pullies were completely detached from the shades and I had no way of propping the shades open. As a result, the room was very dark. While this is a plus for sleeping, it was not appealing in morning or later in the afternoon when I wanted a little bit of sunlight to seep into the room. But the room had plenty of lamps and was well-lit for reading, etc. Also, the modern low-flow showerhead was not very ample. I have experienced better showerheads with better water pressure in other hotels. Other than those 2 things, the room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and had very soft sheets! Probably the softest sheets I have every experienced in the hotel. The A/C worked very well also and kept me nice and cool at night. The continental breakfast was okay. It was mainly carbs except for some yogurt and boiled eggs. The configuration of the breakfast room was not very suitable for a larger crowd of people who were there the first morning that I came down. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I can get a room where the shades work, I will definitely plan on staying here again when I visit my friend.
Liberty Hotel, Cleburne
This is a beautifully restored hotel in Cleburne, Texas that has been a delight to stay in. Our King room was generously sized with a lovely en-suite bathroom, great air conditioning, internet and comfortable king size bed. The building itself, underwent a faithful modernisation & renovation before reopening in 2009. A delightful continental breakfast was included with our room and offered a great start to each day. The hotel staff are welcoming and super helpful. The building is wheel chair friendly and has plenty of car parking, with the rear lot undercover. There is a good selection of snacks, refreshments and toiletry items available to purchase near the front desk. There’s even a lovely pool available for guests to enjoy and a laundry. I highly recommend this hotel to people visiting Johnson County 👍
Stayed at this beautiful place for 4 nights while we were in Dallas. It was like stepping back in time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was so spacious and clean. Breakfast was included in the dining room. There were muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, waffles, tea, coffee and juice. Plenty of car parking. We absolutely loved staying here.
