We booked one week at this site and ended up staying 18 days. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Showers and toilets cleaned at least twice a day by an army of cleaners - was never anything other thAn spotless. The site is very busy at weekends but quiet after midnight. Pool complex superb and from 10am manned by three or four lifeguards. Restaurant takeaway and bar very popular. This site is ideally situated for visiting medieval towns in the area as well as the lovely coastal resorts.
Nice site with big pitches, good facilities (heated) and good staff
Stayed for a few nights on way south. Really big pitches, heated toilets etc, very warm welcome from Siham Good staff and easy walk into Pals walled town, well worth a visit. Pretty quiet when we were there, so cannot comment if busy
Nice little camp site
My wife and I recently visited Mas Patoxas at the end of March and beginning of April and found it a very pleasant experience. We are new to caravanning and keep our caravan locally on the Costa Brava. Last year we stayed at Playa Brava which we really liked due to its location and amenities, however, it is only open in the summer months and we wanted to sample the area in the spring. We opted for Mas Patoxas as it open year round and it is close to the lovely towns of Pals and Begur. We found it a nice camp site with friendly and helpful reception staff who speak very good English. The amemities were clean and tidy, the supermarket is very handy (nice, fresh croissants!) a pizzeria that sells cheap and tasty pizzas (had a few!). The pool was closed as it was out of season but looks very big and I'm guessing is really handy in the summer. Every one there seems very relaxed and chilled out and we had nice German neighbours in the caravan next to us who helped us when our electricity stopped working. The wi-fi was about 6 euros for 10 hours, so if like us you only need to check whats happening or use the internet from time to time, will last you for for a long weekend easily. We have visited a lot of camp sites in our time back in the UK as we have done a lot of camping and have definitely stayed in worse camp sites in the UK. We recommend beautiful Begur that is a lovely little medieval town, with nice restaurants. We found Mas Patoxas a great base for venturing around the local area (we did have a hire car though!) and all in all it was cracking weekend and we will definitely visit Mas Patoxas again.
Good motorhome stopover
A large, easily located site in the countryside outside of Pals. The bus services out of season were poor, but it was straightforward enough to go offsite every day in our motorhome. We were able to visit Palafrugel, L'Escala & St Marti over our two free days. There were plenty of electrical points, good showers and warm toilets - essential in March! Again, there weren't any private wash cubicles which we feel are essential. Reception was well-manned and very helpful, but it must be heaving in mid-Summer. We were able to order bread & croissants daily, and eggs from their own farm. Well worth another visit.
outdated without luxury
The campers/caravans are really worn out! If you go in summertime, watch out, they are boiling hot. there are not decent seats any where on the grounds: you either have to sit in uncomfortable plastic chairs or lie on the hard grass. there is no BBQ set available so bring your own. Wifi is extremely poor even when you pay it takes a lot of time.
