Beautiful rooms and great location, strange issue with management !
We have just stayed at this great place. The room is stunning with high ceilings and a feel of old meets new. The bed is so comfortable for a good night's sleep. The shower is amazing, although on arrival we only had hand towels and were told this was all there was. It's a very clean room and has the wow factor. Location is really central and you can walk to all the main attractions. Reception isn't manned 24 hours a day so if you have a late check in you need to let them know. We drove and parked about 5 minutes away in a multi storey car park which was €18 for 24 hours, it's a bit tricky to get to with the one way system though! We had an issue with a table which we reported as an accident but the owners claimed it was our fault and took €500 without permission! It looks as though it has been paid back but we are having some difficulty in them replying to our emails to confirm this! Hopefully this was a one off issue but check everything is ok on arrival to save the stress that we have had. Great location ,basically couple hundred meters from the top of the Spanish steps . Amazingly comfortable bed ,room is very small though. Clean and modern . House keeping done every morning ..fresh towels in needed, toiletries re-stacked . Very quiet place to stay ,bar across the road and a nice bistro bar at bottom of the road . There absolutely no noise ,which is great . Lovely antique elevator to bring u up to 2nd floor . Check in is quick and easy . Rooms about a 20min walk from train station or 10 min walk from metro line at the Spanish steps . Only down points ,room is very small . 2 people manuvring round it at same time can be awkward, and instead of coffee ,u get coffee pods but no coffee machine in room to put them in . Tea ,kettle ,mini bar and safe in room . Did I mention the great bed 😁
Amazing from start to finish!
Amazing stay at sistina 23, stayed in the junior suite- very spacious and comfortable for three adults. Modern decor with beautiful mirrors and interiors. The location is 10/10, couldn’t be any more central, within walking distance of all major attractions! Staff were very helpful, mapped out the most important attractions and gave tips on getting to them. Minibar was reasonably priced and convenient. Very little outside noise from the street and very well maintained. WiFi can be a little slow at times but overall worked very well. We were very grateful for the air conditioning- temperatures reached 40 degrees during our stay! Rome is an amazing city but this accommodation made it even better! Would definitely recommend it and would absolutely return!
We almost didn't want to leave the room!
Pro's: The stairs leading up to the hotel is beautiful. The hotel is on the second floor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, (especially considering Italy isn't famous for comfy beds!) and the room was exceptionally clean (and I am like Monica from friends level of neurotic!) The streets are quiet and calm at night. The staff were particularly kind and helpful, with things like restaurant advice and local knowledge. The area is more high-end and corporate so a lot of working Romans walking around outside, and much less touristy then Navona for example. The are is also extremely safe area also and heavily policed. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Trevi, very close to Spanish Steps and piazzo del Popolo, and close to the Metro station. The showers were big and comfortable. Lots of storage room and a safe. TV was huge, worked perfectly, and had English channels as well as Italian. Con's: If I had to pick something it would be lack of staff during the night, but this is the nature of any guesthouse like this, and therefore it is slightly less secure than a hotel. Also there is no staff to help you get a taxi in the evening so this can be challenging especially in the rain! Also the grouting in the shower does need attention. If another guests slams their door or walks in hard heels, you will hear it and it may disturb you. There are some odd noises during the night like pipes, and in the morning construction going since 8am which was bothersome. But hopefully next time it will be finished up. Overall: Very suitable for business travelers and couples. Such an amazing, lovely stay, we can't wait to come back.
