Heating didn' work - cold spring evenings, old apartment, smelly zofa. No wifi. Bed linen and cleaning not included. You can get for extra payment, but I found it to expencieve. Beautifull view to the lake. Spacious apartment.
Very comfortable stay
The accommodation is very basic and we felt it was overly priced for what it actually is. But, otherwise very comfortable and only a 20min walk down the beach to the centre of Garda where there is plenty of things to do and see. The pool was very clean and there was a little supermarket and Pizzeria on site which were both very nice and the staff were very friendly. The only issue was there is no on-site staff should you have any issues as the main reception is in the next town!
Great place and surround vistas
One of the most beautiful self catering places I have been. Plenty of space inside and lovely terrace with built in BBQ. The only negative is that in the evening, there were not hot water in the shower, as it comes from a central point for all the apartments, so with a 4 y.o. child it wasn't the most pleasant experience after a day in the pool. Also it doesn't tell you that they don't provide your bed linen or towels. So bring your own or rent them from them. Overall we'll visit again and recommend to anyone to go there.
We hated it! Great location but awful apartments!!
Before I start Garda is a very nice area to stay with lovely local people. I should have put a review earlier as I stayed at this apartment in August 2010 but soooo cheesed off!!!! plus I don't like to moan, so if you have booked I'm sorry. In a nut shell it was like staying in someones garage for a week, double bed, sorry two singles pushed together & when I asked for a double sheet, they had none. The sofa bed Ha!!! you may aswell sleep on the floor. Kitchen very, very basic. Pool, well get up very early or you will be on the ground with your towel as the sun beds are very limited. Overall for £1900 fly drive, rip off.
Not a quiet retreat for couples, make sure you take plenty of earplugs!
My husband and I recently returned from 2 weeks at the Residence Pratone. We hoped for a quiet, relaxing retreat but unfortunately, this was not the case. We took a 2 bed apartment, which was over Two floors. It consisted of an extremely small patio area, which was overlooked by many other apartments. There was a open plan lounge/dining kitchen with only an insufficient 4 ring hob to cook on. There was a double and twin room upstairs, both decent sizes and a bathroom with Shower. The accomodation was very clean but as the Climate became more rainy, the celing & wall in the bathroom showed a large amount of damp. as we were leaving, there was also damp appearing in the lounge. Our major problem was that the walls seperating the apartments (we were attached to at least 3 ) were paper thin so you could hear everything that went on in the adjoining apartments, which included a lot of babies & children who awoke and cried very early, toilets flushing & the showers being used and the singing from the group next door at midnight! The resort appears to be set up for the German tourists, as we were the only English tourists there at the time. This included having about 6 t.v chanels, 2 in italian, the rest in German. The location is up a steep hill, which the less mobile would definately struggle with. To walk to Garda town, you must decend the hill, walk along the busy road (no pavements) for 50/100M and there are locked gates which gives access down to the lake. we were given a key for the gates, which proved invaluable, but a few days before we left, they were locked & we could not use them. We also had to buy a torch because if we ate out in Garda (not great) in an evening, the last part of the walk home was unlit.
