Stop over for a lorry driver

Reviewed 23 november, 2022

I had to travel from Southampton to Glasgow to deliver a car to a customer (on my lorry). On my way back I couldn’t find out normal brand of hotel so chose the Days Inn. I was greeted by Ann who was very cheerful, professional and helpful - an absolute star employee. The room was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and toasty warm. When I checked out at 4:30am Julie was amazingly helpful, cheery and professional. Both great ambassadors for Days Inn. I would highly recommend a stay here. Great value for money.

Recharged to Explore Scotland

Reviewed 22 november, 2022

Having driven from Devon in an Electric Car with several Charging Stops along the way, it was good to reach Abington and see that the hotel has several conveniently placed, hassle free Gridserve Chargers, right by the entrance, with more coming on line soon. I had booked online for an overnight stay, Days Inns are known to be dog friendly yet there was no space on their app to note my dog. The booking computer didn’t like that I was checking in after midnight on the day of my departure but Euan, on his first Night Shift, sorted the issue brilliantly and handled the expected pet supplement with tact, diplomacy and good humour. After good night’s sleep in a comfy bed my Beagle and I were as recharged as the car, the day staff were also very engaging and wished us well on adventure to Northwards. 5⭐️

Friendly staff

Location is great. Staff are friendly, room was decent and clean, bathroom was clean but the tiles needs a refit. There is a Burger King, WHS, coffee shop amongst others. Parking is available and WiFi, very small tv but I loved the workspace as I had to work one of the days. Nice big desk. Not much plug though, might want to take an extension.

After a very long day on the road travelling lots of bad weather and traffic it was nice to finally stop and get my head down. The room was clean and tidy however I was a little chilly so needed to put heater on but didn’t think it was quite adequate however this could of just been me

Poor

Trampoline like mattress, rusty shower curtain rail, mouldy bathroom ceiling and tiles, cracked sink, bathroom floor covering peeling off! I know it’s cheap but there’s no reason it can’t be clean!!!!
