You get what you pay for

They double charged us for resort fee.The air conditioner didn’t stay on and keep room cool. The lobby smells like curry. Carpet on the outside balcony. The manager said he upgraded us, can’t image what the standard room is like!
Don't Do It

They say you get what you pay for but IMO, we paid way too much. Husband and I were looking for a room in AC at the last minute. He decides to go thru Expedia and see that Rest Inn was reasonable. Pictures appeared to give an okay vibe and even with the ratings, we decided to try for ourselves. WHY?!?! This place takes no type of pride in their establishment. First you walk into a stale smelling room with filthy carpet. There's dust on the tables and dresser, stains on the sheets (thank goodness for being prepared with our own bedding), ironing board cover disgusting and wash clothes that should have been trashed months ago. Speaking of washcloths, there were only 2 and 1 towel. Would it have been a problem replacing the toilet seats?? Oh, almost forgot to mention the less than half roll of toilet paper. I'm just disgusted.
Take heed. When seeing this hotel/motel on the 3rd party travel sites, keep scrolling.
It worked for me...

pros- internet A plus... it was actually pretty good for me, stayed a total of 7 days.. 15 mins from casinos cheap rate, got a good deal about $30 a night... just needs some tlc with some paint and clean up the grounds and more lighting... will make it more pleasant for the hotel snobs.. if its cheap and internet is A plus and decent on the cleanliness... you can't complain.. outta 1-10 gotta give it a 7.
WORST OF THE WORST!! Rest Inn should be condemned!!

This place is absolutely horrible. I stayed here in February of 2018, and back then the manager was rude, condescending, dismissed complaints and often insulted the guests making them. The room I got had had only a tiny window air conditioner and no heat and a stench that could make people gag. Like urine mixed with a decaying body mixed with crack cocaine. Manager acted like he didn’t have to meet ANY hotel industry standards, like he didn’t care if guests died of frostbite or some random insect bite, & like he was above reproach. Bed bugs and insects everywhere, room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, fridge and TV broken...and no one who cares.
This place SCAMS you out of your money by price gouging you on excessive fees, false advertising, bait & switch and fraud. If you threaten to call the cops, the manager DARES you to (makes you wonder if he’s paid people off to look the other way). I couldn’t WAIT to get out of this place, and NO ONE should stay here.
I read tons of negative reviews on here, booking.com, hotels.com, Expedia, etc., and ALL of them (over the course of years) are consistent. Mold, filthy rooms, insects, no heat in rooms, and worse). Based on all these reviews, and the apparent refusal by the manager (an Indian guy named Jay) to change anything or treat customers with any respect at all, and on top of that him SCAMMING guests (and forcing staff, which you have to wonder if he even pays them, to enforce his insane policies too) this place should be shut down ASAP. Not only that but an investigation should be conducted by the cops into this Jay guy’s business practices. There’s GOT to be something done about this place (I’ve heard he owns the nearby Relax Inn too), which wouldn’t be so bad if it were run like an actual hotel and not like some Indian slum.
STAY AWAY!!! And if he scammed you, report it to the cops!!!
Lucky to find this GEM of a motel so close to Atlantic City!!!
