Just ok
Very spacious living room but uncomfortable simple chairs. Huge bed in small room, couldn't even fully open the closet doors. Way too simple, no hairdryer or anything as it's described. However the staff was very nice.
Had a wonderful stay!
When making the booking I did not expect much because of the prices being so cheap, but after arriving at the hotel I was extremely delighted. The staff were very friendly, happy to oblige to most requests like extra amenities, towels, etc. The room was also clean and tidy, so no complaints there either. Overall, enjoyed our trip and was great value for money! Chris & Jenny
I did not feel like a princess!
First I will say that the hotel appeared to be fairly clean. However, my friend and I were only given one towel each, two sheets on the bed (no blanket or mattress pad), no hair dryer either in the room or available in the office, no hot water, and in the large "living room" only two straight back chairs (no sofa) - extremely basic. And, the most unsettling experience was when we discovered that while I was in the shower, and she was still in bed - someone had entered our room, turned off the fans in the outer/living room, and left the door open. We were very grateful that we only had to stay one night!
You get what you pay for
Attended a wedding in Acapulco. Invitation included a list of recommended hotels one of which was the Villamar Princesa. The rate there of $58 per night was the least expensive of the 4 hotels. Suite(?) with tile floor was made up of a living area with 2 sofas, a TV, and a concrete coffee table; kitchen facilities, stove and fridge and concrete bar; a bedroom with a king size bed, and a bathroom with shower. (No bath mat). Living room was large but 2 sofas there were very dirty. King bed was comfortable; sheets were ironed , soft. Shower worked fine. A/C worked well. Hotel situated right on noisy main highway of Diamante area of Acapulco directly across from the Princess Hotel. Good hike to the beach. Walmart, mini-mall 2 blocks away. Without a car, taxis get pretty expensive. Stay here if cost is a factor; if not there are other better hotels in the area right on the beach.
