Amazing stay @pestana Bahia praia

We were at this hotel for a week and besides it is not near Ponta Delgada and the city center, one of our concerns, it was an amazing stay. It is a 15 minutes drive to the city but it has everything we need very close.
We travelled with kids so we included dinner at the hotel. It was an excellent option for us, because kids were tired and we don’t need to go out looking for dinner.
We stayed in a junior suite and it is very spacious and with great conditions, a living room, 2 extra beds, a closet and a big bathroom. Room was cleaned every day.
Food was very good, good variety, every night was a different buffet with a theme, some nights there was traditional dances, music at the bar…
Kids also have an awesome time at kids club and at the pool and beach that is a few minutes walk.
It also have a beautiful view to the sea and the beach.
I recommend this hotel, wonderful stay, good and very nice staff.
You will never want to leave

We spent three wonderful nights in this beautiful hotel. Located next to the nicest beach in Sao Miguel, a very quick and easy ride from the airport and Punta Delgada, this place offers easy access to any of the island's magnificent features. However, with an absolutely charming staff, gorgeous pool, extremely well made cocktails and very fine, flexible dining, we didn't want to go any place at all.
We were visiting on a short vacation with family, but can see that the location would be extremely convenient for special event and business as well.
We highly recommend it!
A Perfect Honeymoon

Where to begin? We went to Pestana Bahia Praia for our honeymoon and the experience was beyond words. We arrived slightly later than we were expecting and found that the dinner cut off had passed around 20 minutes previously, but without even asking one of the smiling receptionists told us to head along in and they'd make it work. We went up to the room to find that they had left us some chocolates and champagne as well as rose petals and two swans made of towels on the bed. These lovely gestures really set the tone for our week in the hotel and the azores.
There was a sea view from our balcony which was incredible, any evening we wanted we could enjoy the gorgeous colours in the sky arching over the sea as the sun was setting. The room itself was amazing, the beds were extremely comfortable and there was a sofa and a chair in the living area along with a tv which were all extremely comfortable. Then we get to the bathroom which was frankly perfect. Marble everywhere with a gigantic bath as well as an entirely separate shower area, words can't describe how great it felt having a hot bath after a day swimming in the pool or on the beach!
Just briefly to touch on the staff in the hotel, they were consistently excellent, always incredibly friendly and eager to help in any way. I felt slightly under the weather one of the mornings and, after my wife had mentioned it casually to one of them whilst organising something, I received a call up to the room in the early afternoon checking to see how I was feeling and if there was anything I needed, gestures like that really contributed to the feeling that I was honestly valued as a guest.
The food in the hotel was very good, every morning there was a wide selection of fried food, pastries, cereals and juices. The dinner selections were very impressive as well, continually changing but always with varied selections with meat, fish, seafood and vegetarian options as well with a wide selection of constantly varying desserts each night to accompany!
Facilities and Nearby
The hotel had a number of very impressive facilities that tried to indulge in as much as we could! There was a bar area with live music on friday and saturday as well as an adjoining games room that had pool and pingpong tables. There was a spa and sauna that we didn't get to try but which others have spoken glowingly about too! The swimming pool outside was fantastic with a poolside bar for any drinks required and there was a small path giving us private access to a beach literally 2 minutes away, which was terrific! The hotel itself was also close enough to the two nearby big cities with villa franca being a 10 minute taxi ride away and punta delgada (the capital and city where most of the main tourist attractions such as swimming with dolphins occured) no more than 20 minutes away. If taxis aren't your preference there was a small office on site at the hotel where you could ring up and rent a car as we did, at the price of around €40-55 per day for most of the models available.
In summary, wow, what a beautiful hotel with great facilities and staff who really made us feel like they were happy that we were there staying with them. As an entire experience this is honestly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in my life and for our honeymoon it was a truly perfect destination. I cannot recommend it highly enough, we are looking forward to when we get the chance to return in the future. Incredible!

What a gem of a hotel along the coast . Location is stunning with private access to the beach. Hotel was clean and the food was tasty and very reasonably priced . I would recommend staying just for the spectacular view.

This hotel is an excellent one. Situated at a beautiful (private) beach with a beautiful garden at both the front and rear. The hotel is spacious and the rooms are large. The staff are friendly and you will lack for nothing.
The breakfast is excellent but I was not impressed by the "a la carte" dinner. However, take a car and drive to a neighboring village.
