Quality all round

Reviewed 9 october, 2022

This was our first ever visit to Majorca for some late sunshine, and the Forum was the third venue on our trip. My reviews always seem to start by saying how well served we were by the TripAdvisor community but this was another gem. Alcudia old town reminded me of a walled French Hill town and the Forum was right at the heart of it. The quality of the conversion of several townhouses into a stupendous quality small hotel has to be seen to be believed. Arty touches everywhere, a courtyard, small ground floor plunge pool and roof top sun beds just added to the offer. Our room overlooked the small square outside and was a triumph of style and quality. All this was matched by the small handful of reception staff who were from the top drawer. Location wise, Alcudia old town is on a strip of land which has Pollensa bay on one side and Alcudia bay on the other. Port de Pollensa is about five miles away whilst Alcudia port is a 30 minute walk down a busy, dusty street. It’s OK, but ten minutes walk on the other side on Pollensa bay are a couple of delightful small villages and coves which are highly recommended.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic week at this hotel. We stayed in the room with the private terrace and jacuzzi, 114, worth every penny. It was amazing. In the middle of the old town, in close proximity of restaurants. We didn’t have a bad meal!!! Damia, Reane, Diego and the rest of the team couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely, you can also have omelette, fried and poached eggs to order and everything else is so fresh. Considering so central our room was so quiet, as if we were in the middle of nowhere, yet we stepped out into everything on our doorstep. Well done all xx

Beautiful hotel, fab location and warm, friendly staff

Reviewed 19 september, 2022

This is a beautiful, friendly hotel in a superb location on the ‘placa’ in the old town of Alcudia. Watch the world go by, convivial ambiance and buzzing from breakfast until dinner, then quiet as no late night bars or parties. Hotel staff, especially Diego, went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. Nothing too much trouble. Drink prices are very reasonable, spa is free to residents and very, very clean. Slept so well in a comfy bed and air conditioned room. The roof terrace is a great place to relax, as is the pool area. Breakfasts were delicious and such a good choice for vegetarians etc. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Simply superb

As our children are now grown up and kids clubs and mini discos are no longer a priority when booking a holiday we have been staying in this type of adult friendly hotel (is it not time we adults treated ourselves after years of dutiful vigilance at the edge of the kiddies pool minding our offspring). The Forum hotel surpasses all our previous experiences in hotels of this nature. We got the warmest welcome from Damia ( turns out we both worked in Alcudia 30 years ago although our paths never crossed, MENTA!!@) The room was spotlessly clean with a fabulous blend of white walls and original stones as well as a host of modern amenities Damia was not alone in his ability to make guests feel welcome, Diego and Rianne also excel in this area, in fact the whole team make you feel like you are part of a special and exclusive club. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of fresh food available each morning (sobrassada with honey on crusty bread, yummy) The public areas are clean, calm and tastefully decorated with a secluded pool and a delightful roof terrace also available. The whole team at the Forum clearly have a great passion for what they do and this is apparent in all their guest interactions and the hotel standards. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

Lovely stay

Our flight got cancelled so we had to find somewhere last minute to stay so booked a room here. The hotel was stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly. We stayed in 4 places in Alcudia and this was the most expensive, but the room was gorgeous, the shower was fantastic. I literally cannot find a fault with the room, as in no loose tiles, dirty grouting, old fittings etc. The room was perfect. The only thing that stopped me giving this place 5 stars is we were advised the mini bar is complimentary except for the whiskey, so we had the coca cola and the Toblerone - but we were charged for these. We were told the breakfast is the best which is a bold thing to say, but he was right, it was! It was the only place we stayed that did a full English. The pool area was nice and got sun most the day, there is also a spa which was lovely! £240 a night is not a rate I would usually pay, but it was a fantastic stay with superb facilities. Very impressed.
