Worst meal we had in Alexandria
Reviewed 24 november, 2022
We had dinner at the hotel and I must say it was one of the worst meals we have ever had. I suggest to Managment to look closely at the quality of their foods and what they serve is their restaurants. Very disappointing from FS experience. The ingredients were way below standard of any restaurants let alone FS. Never again
Four Seasons Beach Residence

We had an awesome time at the San Stefano beach in Alexandria staying at the Four Seasons. It is a perfect getaway for the family. Spacious rooms, great food and ambience and awesome sunsets. The ocean water is great for swimming, the beach is very clean and the atmosphere extremely relaxing. I will definitely visit again. There are great seafood markets closeby and a mall if you are interested.
A must stay in Alexandria

Terrific stay Very welcoming staff Spacious room on swimming terrace view. Breakfast variety is good taste good. Location is excellent under tunnel passage to the sea from the hotel. Little bit expensive but worth the stay. Will definitely stay again. Loved the security measure prior the entrance to the hotel. Good job
Four day oasis at the end of a lovely Egypt holiday

The hotel is in a beautiful seaside location with truly lovely rooms and amazing views from every room. And beautiful, friendly and helpful service. An oasis in the middle of chaos on the streets below! We loved so many things about this hotel, including the fact that they tracked down my lost glasses and sent somebody to get them back and then delivered them in a lovely little bag...SERVICE rules here. There are three things to be aware of when you stay here. Firstly, if you aren't planning to get a private driver and a guide to take you around, this city would be hard to navigate. Hailing a taxi on street not advised or easy. Streets themselves are an obstacle course, crossing dangerous unless you are an experienced and swift jaywalker :) No marked crossings. Bring your best game of chicken! Fortunately, the hotel has a great driver -- he just needs to be booked ahead through the concierge. Second watchout is that you definitely need to do your own homework regarding restaurants. Concierge here (while jumping through other hoops) is not giving advice in the way you might expect (as in 'here is an amazing place you should check out, stay out of that touristy spot), rather just booking times at your request. Third is that if you don't like noise, even on the 15th floor the heavy traffic below is audible at all times. For a New Yorker, not a big deal. But to be aware of in your thinking. Get some good white noise, or earplugs. All this said, this is again -- a beautiful oasis. We would definitely keep this as our base of operations if we come back. Thank you to the Four Seasons team for a great stay in a fascinating place!
Excellent but could even be better.

This will be my 1st review in English because this hotel deserves it. I would give it 5*, but there are a few minor points that decided me to give "only"4*. Let's begin : The transfer with their limousine service is excellent but most expensive (120 US$ - 140 US$). When I arrived at the hotel (3am) the night manager and some staffmembers were awaiting me to bring me asap to my room. Waaw, what a service was my first thought. And it was : swift check-in in the room itself ! I really appreciated it that I quickly could take a shower and go to bed after a long day of travelling. The room itself was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The only thing that bothered me was the shower : old turning system, water not that warm, sometimes almost no pressure and one afternoon no water at all. The room was also a bit decorated in an old fashioned way, but hey, that's taste. The next morning I went to have breakfast. Someone from the reception staff escorted me through the nice, clean tunnel under the busy road to have breakfast in the beachrestaurant. I was welcomed by a cheerful and helpful lady who took me to a table and also explained me where I could find everything. I felt very welcome. Everyone was so very friendly, I almost melted away. The beach itself is private, safe and rather clean (could be cleaner, but then you have to change the attitude of the guests, you understand what I want to say). Loungers, towels, and cool water are provided and here also, the staff is very helpful and friendly. I have to say that this kindness, helpfulness and friendlyness disappeared a bit day after day and I found this quite disappointing. The same happened with housekeeping. The difference between the first day and the last is remarkable. It turned their 5*'s into 4*'s. Minor remark : when I checked-out I told the receptionist that my suitcases were still in the room. Instead of calling a bellboy of whoever, he gave back my key to collect them myself. Weird reaction, but no problem for me. Conclusion : a very well appointed hotel with friendly and helpful staff. And if they could hold this attitude up during your whole stay, you cannot be better off in Alexandria.
