First a shout out to two staff members
Vode - during dinner my wife wanted a glass of rosè wine but the pump wasn’t working -not a problem-other drinks available but she arrived at our table with a glass of rosè 5 minutes later which she went to collect from another bar in the hotel. Thanks Vode, great service
Cristino Santos - always smiling and cheerful while serving drinks-top man
Now for the plus points - the hotel is always clean, sunbeds always available, the cold food is excellent.Salads, cold meats and cheeses all well prepared and tasty.15-20min walk to the beach.Fridge was making a noise on the first night, reported it the next morning and was fixed by the time we returned that afternoon. My wife enjoyed the wine.
Now for the negative point - warm food was also cold ,lukewarm which I find unacceptable. The warm food was always overcooked, dry and very bland. We ate out in town the last 3 nights. One evening my wife forgot to put a mask on at dinner time and was confronted by Hugo in a very unprofessional manner, just a simple “can you you put a mask on” would have been sufficient not a telling off.My wife wasn’t happy. The thing is the next night baring in mind the hotel is practicing social distancing there was two young ladies walking around with a couple of parrots and interacting with nearly all the people round the pool bar and taking photos-so no social distancing and I thought TUI had stopped to use of animals on holidays-very cruel.

Chaotic breakfast but staff managing very well , great selection of food.
Many opted for all inclusive but glad we didn’t as so much choice of fantastic restaurants in alvor town . Every evening dinner was delicious .
Very basic minimalist furniture in suite and very cheap balcony furniture .
Evening music is very loud and believe many local residents complain regularly. Fine but not with a toddler.
We upgraded to a premium pool view suite but really isn’t necessary as land view on a higher floor is probably nicer .
Pool is huge and perfect .
Great playground for little ones too . Lots of activities for older kids maybe 5/6+
Many locals on staycation, very respectable of social distance etc more so than Ireland .
Spa staff v pleasant , nice massage , room more clinical than spa like
Would recommend to other families

We spent 1 week in this lovely hotel. The team was really nice and friendly. There are plenty of activities, the pool bar is really nice and open all day long. The restaurant was nice as well.
The room are spacious and the pool is huge. Good point : There is enough sunbath so that you don’t have to rush. A free shuttle will drop / collect you at the beach which is nice and close to the city center.
Definitely a great value for money.
Nice hotel but it isn’t a true all-inclusive

We had an enjoyable 2 week stay but the standard of all inclusive is below others we have stayed at.
The good stuff…
Large and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and very clean.
Reception staff friendly and helpful.
My hairdryer broke, (they are fixed to the wall in the bathroom) but it was ok as I could use the one in our adjacent room. Reported it to reception on our way to dinner, when we returned a new one had been installed by maintenance.
Plenty of sun beds, never had a problem getting one, even in the afternoon. The pool is huge so plenty of space for inflatables and ball games.
Animation staff very friendly and encouraging people to take part in the activities.
Young kids loved the mini disco.
Teenagers liked the games room in the basement.
The bar - most of the staff are really friendly and although you had to queue at times, you didn’t have to wait for long.
Blue Restaurant staff really efficient at clearing tables at peak times and we never had to wait for long. Desserts were great.
The bus to the beach ran every 30 mins and it was a short walk from where it drops off.
It’s a short walk from the hotel into Alvor.
It’s close to Splash and Slide water park.
The not so good stuff…
Access to the gym is not part of the all inclusive (you have to pay 5 euros per session or 25 euros for a 7 day pass) and Ice creams are not included either.. This hasn’t been the case in any other all inclusive we have stayed at and it would of affected our decision to book there had we known in advance.
The food - not a lot of choice of hot food for vegetarians… pasta and tomato sauce every evening. For the meat eaters there were themed nights so more choice. After a few nights we ate out for a change.
Drinks - vastly watered down but bar staff happy to ‘top up’ cocktails with some rum from the bottle.
Masks - Should be worn inside and when queuing for the outdoor bar… some people would be sent away and refused service if they didn’t have one and others not.
Overall it’s a large and spacious hotel, staff are doing their best given the Covid restrictions but the fact that it isn’t a full inclusive and the food lets it down.
Lovely hotel let down by poor food and repetitive evening entertainment

While we overall enjoyed our family holiday at this hotel we would not return.
We had a pleasant room, the pool area was lovely with plenty of space and we found all the staff to be polite.
The main things that let down this hotel was the food quality for the all inclusive meals and the lack of things to do in the immediate vicinity. We also found the evening entertainment to be poor.
As a side despite booking a room at the rear of the property we were given one overlooking the pool and the noise meant we were unable to sleep until the entertainment finished at 11pm.
