Great night stay
After being on the road for hours I decided to book a room for the night through Priceline. I accidentally got charged twice but let me just say Jennifer is amazing! She was able to take care of the double charge and had a positive attitude and provided pleasant conversation as well. The room was great. The king size bed was roomy and super comfy. The A/C worked so well that we forgot it was the middle of the summer in Texas! Definitely recommend and if you do go ask for Jennifer.
Jennifer’s managerial excellence
The customer service here is more than exceptional!!! Jennifer Undoubtedly sets the standard as the manager here. Her gregarious approach to problem solving is unparalleled. She listens very well and reacts to concerns expediently. It was absolutely a pleasure to be helped by her. Her actions certainly enhanced the quality of our stay. There should be more employees of Jennifer’s caliber nationwide. Thank you.
An amazing front desk person, poor room and not clean.
I didn't want to write a negative review, but it's valid and the hotel manager needs to be aware of these issues, and resolve them. We always stay at Red Roof Inns with favorable stats, but sadly, this room was abysmal. Beginning with the check in, this was the highlight of the visit. It was 8 P.M. on May 20. The associate was amazing and helpful, courteous, professional and an asset to your hotel. She warned us that the cable might not work, and when she checked it out, it was down. She went to extraordinary lengths to make sure we had a working television. We so appreciated that! I remarked that the room didn't look like it had been cleaned at all after the last guest. The beds were made, and in retrospect, I'm not sure the bed was stripped and remade. There were SO many issues with the room! It was large and could have been very nice but the bathtub had dirt and soap scum everywhere. The floor of the entire room was filthy. It had little piles of dust and bugs in the corners. Dirty used towels were in the bathroom. The sink was messy, and it was scummy with used soap on it. The 2 burner cooktop had dry, burned, crusty food all over it and it was very unsanitary. We had to ask the lady who checked us in for toiletries and towels. She kindly obliged. She volunteered to give us a clean room, but we were so tired from our travels that we did not move to a new room. That's on us. However, this hotel did not live up to even the most basic standards of cleanliness that a guest should expect. I did not want to write a bad review, and I almost didn't. I feel that in the interest of my fellow travelers that these things should be addressed. I realize that during the COVID-19 crisis that things will slip through cracks, but the dirt in that room was not new. Please return this Red Roof Inn to its rightful place as a hotel that guests can feel welcome in a clean, well equipped environment. Thank you.
Seasoned staff, good value
During Feb-2020, was on road 24 days/stayed @ 21 different Red Roof Inns. Was very tired coming from Williams/Flagstaff; had booked on line. Check was easy due to Jennifer, night manager. Sup. Delux room given had plug issue, so she re-assigned me to new room, close to one I had, and easy parking. While waiting for re-assignment, noted how smooth and knowledgeable the night manager was with incoming, late customers. One guy was miffed as had recently stayed at nearby Hampton Inn and his dog was welcome - this time, at 12:45 in the morning he was turned away, so for $54 he would have paid another $25 he was so pleased to find a welcoming tone by the night manager. Room was huge, double what I had in Arizona, good ceramic tile hardwood board, clean, adequate toiletries/towels, fresh floral aroma to room, good semi-firm bed, wifi solid, TV good, fridge and micro worked nicely. Continental Brek was good. Check in, check out very smooth, Staff helpful, particularly Jennifer. Second time I have stayed at RRI in Amarillo, will do so again, good value. Of my 21 nights at Red Roof's in February-2020, this is a convenient location, and a very good place to stay for $50 or under.
My new go to
Eli at the front desk was awesome. Red Roof is now one of the only Pets Free motels left. Important! Rooms are a great value and comfortable. Breakfast is a valuable plus. Stayed at four other motels during the trip and all had issues with either price or comforts.
