Got to say the owners and the staff were so nice and friendly. The whole place had a homely family run feel. The Slina was very clean. We did research the going rate and you don't get much for your money in Brussels. So the room was basic and clean and comparable with other hotels for the same standard. Due to all the borders closing down we had to made a fast exit, and this is where the staff where brilliant. The main downside is that the surrounding area in general around Brussels midi station (not just one or two streets) is dirty and gave us an uneasy feel. This may be typical for the city-we didn't see enough of it to say. However, the hotel is very conveniently located to the train station. Would I use them again? - yes.

I travel extensively and stay in hotels at least once per week Reading the reviews one would be concerned about staying here but Location This is a multicultural city and the hotel is in a predominantly Middle Eastern area with great local shops and supermarkets and fantastic friendly bakeries and Middle Eastern restaurants If you perceive men sitting drinking coffee and chatting onstreet corners which is so typical culture in all middle east countries to be a threat and dangerous then make that judgement . Though I would suggest that you do not go to Egypt to see the pyramids Morocco to the market turkey to see the fabulous mosques or Jerusalem to see the amazing sights as you will be presented with the same threatening behaviour Embrace the difference as you take the short walk to the usual tourist sights in the city or just a very short walk to the metro The hotel is one of the friendliest I have ever stayed in comfy room ready early for me and great simple breakfast at a price that is very reasonable As is trypical of many eupean hotels no tea coffe in room but available in reception at very reasonable price Room very quiet comfortable with a great shower If you are extenensivly travelled without a blinkered view of the world you will be pleasantly surprised
Very nice staff(we were lucky enough to get all the help we needed, including the connection with the food delivery),but they make you pay for every little thing. Because I spilled some beer on the bed,I had to pay 20€ for them to clean it. It was quite expensive and it shouldn’t be that big of a deal. I understand their reasoning, but in my opinion it was too much for such a small inconvenience.
Wouldn’t Book Again
Location: Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Brussels Anderlecht area. The area where the Hotel is is a run down area. The hotel locks it’s doors which I found strange. After walking around the area at night we didn’t feel safe around the area. Room: The room was small and convenient for us. Bed was comfy. Of note - the heater was switched off and you had to turn the thermostat to switch the heating on. Once in full swing the room heated up quick. Bathroom was small and the room walls were really thin as you can hear everything the other room say. Summary: Poor location, staff speak limited English. I’m not sure this is a 3* I would put it at 2*. Only reason we booked was due to the secure car park on sight. I would not book this hotel again.
Near city centre, fair price, budget hotel
The hotel has a fair price. It is located for around 20-30 min walking distance from the city centre. It has wi-fi. The room was ok. The neighbourhood doesn't seem safe though. Another minus is the fact that you have to pay 15 euro/day for the parking lot
