“Properly” cleaned think again before booking

Liked · The only good thing was the beds were comfortable. Thank goodness this was only for a one-night stay. The check-in clerk was very nice. It was obvious he was working alone with no other front desk help around nor insight. My party was one of 5 trying to do the same.
Disliked · The front desk clerk at check-in called “Heidi” on the walkie-talkie to see if the room was clean because the computer stated it was still dirty. No answer so he dialed the number for housekeeping. Whoever answered him was rude and berating to him. I did hear an answer of yes to him and why didn't he look among some other things I will not repeat. He attempted to explain, but he was abruptly disconnected. I thanked him and proceeded to our room.
I did a very quick look at the room after check-in before heading out again and I used 1 drawer on the top left. I did not have time to check "everything" then because we were trying to get to the Metro and the National Mall.
After returning from the DC after 10 PM I asked my spouse to please go ask for more towels so we can shower tonight and in the morning. The front desk staff informed him, "we will only provide you with 2 extra towels and washcloths due to COVID and shortages." I travel a lot due to my son playing hockey, and my daughter participating in dance competitions. I was in the state of Indiana at Notre Dame when states were shutting down when COVID first entered the US and traveled in my home state staying overnight frequently. I will tell you I have stayed in at least 10 other places during COVID (and that is an underestimate) NEVER have I been told this by any other hotel or chain for that matter! The answer has always been how many do you need, not we can only provide you with 2 extra.
Now the morning of check out. Imagine our SURPRISE when we're packing up our essentials and just in case our teenagers might forget something we check all drawers and discovered that the last person who stayed there (obviously military) LEFT HIS drawer essentials there. I immediately called the front desk to see if they had an address on file to send them back. I was told no, but she would let the housekeeping manager know of this. After my check-in experience, I doubt that would do any good.
Oh, and check the closet/breaker box-looking thing next to the entertainment center and drawer storage on the wall. It's your A/C filter. It was filthy! It looked like dryer lint combined with the dirt you would empty from a sweeper falling off of it. The last change date I could make out was 2018. Being in Health Care and knowing the CDC cleaning protocols during COVID as a safety advocate for a major health care system I WAS APPALLED!
I was thanked during check out for letting them know about the last guests' items when handing in the cards, I was never offered a final receipt and never offered a discount since the room was obviously NOT CLEAN!
Finally, that deposit that you pay upon check-in that at any hotel chain as a hold on your card for damages or extra charges and would "normally" disappear from said statement on your credit card after check out. This place has a $100.00 deposit fee. Not only did we not buy anything, (correction parking was $15 a day we only stayed overnight and was charged in the rate of the room) but we obviously were only there to sleep and shower. I was charged the full $100.00 long with the cost of the room and I am still waiting for this to be refunded.
I am still waiting on management to respond to my complaints. The next email I will be to corporate and I will take it further if need be!
Excellent suite near downtown DC

Stayed here two nights on a sightseeing visit to DC. Staff is friendly and professional. This seems to be an older property but well maintained, better than I was expecting. Our suite was very spacious with comfortable furniture including a king bed and a sofa. Full kitchenette with a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave and 2 element stove top (only 1 worked). Bagels/danish/fruit/juice/coffee grab-and-go breakfast items available at front desk 7-9am. Parking cost $15/night, but that's not outrageous this close to downtown. Only a few (less than 10) minutes from Arlington Cemetery. Some road noise outside, but room was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.
Not much time in the room, but it did the trick.

We booked this room using Choice Rewards points when a last-minute work change necessitated us arriving the afternoon before a VERY early departure at Reagan. Check-in was efficient and we were able to find a parking spot close to the entrance ($15 for onsite parking.)
The building is shaped as a crescent, so it's definitely NOT a cookie-cutter hotel. The room was spacious enough for our needs, but the finishes within and without skew dark -- more a personal preference than anything else.
We walked around the neighborhood to pick up carryout pizza for dinner, and missed the breakfast due to our early departure, but it's fairly well located given the density of the area. if needs require us to leave Reagan at an early hour again, we will definitely consider this property.

I stayed at this hotel on 03/19/2021 in room 416. This was a non-smoking room but the smell of cigarettes and marijuana was overpowering immediately after entering the room. I also noticed the carpet was very dirty and contained a white, powdery substance. The bathroom had what look like dried blood on the floor as well as the wall. Countertops and table surfaces had sticky residue left behind and dishes that were put away were not clean at all. I went to the front desk around 10:30pm and waited about 12 minutes to address all of these concerns but no one ever showed up. I ended up getting only a few hours of sleep and checking out way before check out time due to the unclean environment, especially during a time when cleanliness and sanitation is essential to preventing the spread of COVID19. I contacted corporate and they "forwarded my concerns to the GM Barry" .. I have not been contacted from anyone representing this hotel and this is day 4. This hotel is a safety hazard. Please protect yourselves and stay elsewhere.
A Big Disappointment

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. My family and I booked 3 rooms here while visiting family in the area. At first everything was great. We were able to check in a little earlier, The rooms were clean and more than we expected, and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. However, around 9pm, the neighboring room starting playing music a little loud. So called front desk to ask if they could have them turn it down a little because we had toddlers getting ready for bed. Nothing happened. Around 1030, it was getting even louder. There was a line of people out in the hall, and the smell of weed was very strong in our room. Called the front desk again. They said they would call about the music, but smoking weed was legal!!! Finally 130am I went down to the front desk, myself to addressed the issue with the clerk on duty. When I went out into the hallway, there were probably 10 people standing around out there and the whole 3rd floor reeked. The desk clerk on duty finally called the security guard and cleared out the room.
