Nice staying at smart hotel
We enjoyed our 4 days staying in this hotel: it is clean modern and the staff has been always very nice and helpful with any questions...good and varied breakfast....close to bus and 15 mins walk to metro ....for restaurants and other actractions you need to take public transport or taxi ...only suggestion for the staff to leave more soap and gel shower overall nice hotel
Short walk from the Acropolis and a room with a view of Parthenon
Smart, modern hotel, just 20min walk from the Acropolis or a short bus/taxi ride. Nearby there are few shops, including a 24-hour supermarket. All staff very welcoming and check-in and check-out was quick. Comfortable and clean room on the 5th floor with a view of Parthenon. Good working wifi and air condition. Lots of choices for breakfast. Definitely wouldn't mind staying in this hotel again.
Very good quality-price
A fairly new, confortable hotel, about 25mn walk to the acropoli museum and acropoli entrance. It was cheaper to stay here and take a taxi to acropoli, plaka and other central attractions than booking a similar hotel closer to the touristic attractions. Very friendly staff and good breakfast buffet. We had a very good size room, and a confortable king size bed. The hotel faces a 4-lane avenue, so there is traffic noise. No problem for me since I use ear plugs at night.
Recently Renovated
This hotel was a good value with a very friendly staff. Be sure to request a higher floor room ending in 02 for a great view of the Parthenon! Being recently renovated, we were very pleased with our room. The air conditioning cooled well, without requiring a room card being inserted. The area around the hotel left a little to be desired. This hotel is located right next door to a sister hotel - The Athenaeum Palace. Syngrou is a busy street without much commercial shopping or stores. There was a little convenience store hut about 40 yards away, and a decent little Italian and a Greek restaurant about 150 yards away. While there appeared to be a bus stop and an underground street crossing in front of the hotel, we did not use it. A taxi to the Plaka was about 6 euros without traffic and 12 euros with traffic. Breakfast was nice with a full continental option, as well as scrambled eggs and cooked bacon/ ham. The hotel has a powerful hair dryer. The lobby has a ramp, but a handrail for the stairs to the breakfast area for folks with accessibility needs.
Smart hotel, smart choice.
While my stay at this hotel wasn’t long the service was fantastic. The front desk staff was very friendly and always tried to accommodate any requests that we had. The beds were super comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and the breakfast had so many different varieties of food, there was something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers who like staying in hostels but sometimes want a little bit more than a springy mattress.
