A warm welcome awaited us after an extremely long drive. We were made to feel at home straight away. Our room was clean , inviting and quaint, no tv, but we didn't miss it one bit. We relaxed in the garden with a bottle (or 2) of wine and our cares and woes melted away till all that was left was peace and quiet. The bed was comfy and after a good night's sleep we were served a lovely breakfast of French toast, preserves, fruit, yogurt, coffee and fruit juice. This is a hidden gem, full of history and fantastic hosts. I would highly recommend it and I would be back there in a heartbeat.
Absolutely unforgettable weekend of fun and relaxation!

Julien & Meagan are both unbelievably kind, compassionate, welcoming and warm people. They make your stay at Rouge Bordeaux more of a beautiful cultural immersion than just a simple B&B experience.
The Martels did everything from organising great wine-tours to cooking us scrumptious breakfasts every morning. Julien's french toast is out of this world!
They always checked-in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Meagan is a great conversationalist and can keep you engaged with different recommendations and stories!
If you are tired of robotic hotels and generic B&Bs, give this amazing place a chance, and I promise that you will leave with a ton of good memories.
We will never forget our time at Rouge Bordeaux and hope to be back as soon as we can!
Idyllic countryside gem in beautiful Auros, Bordeaux!

It is hard to find adequate words to describe our time at Rouge Bordeaux. Owners Julien and Megan Martel are some of the most genuine, warm, kind people we have ever met! We spent three days touring Bordeaux and felt like we were with old friends! We now have new friends! Julien (French) and Megan (American) are incredibly attentive to every detail of your stay and will customize outings to your interests. We love wine, food, history, culture, the French language...Julien and Megan put together an itinerary that hit all the buttons and more! Their B&B is charming, beautiful and comfortable and Julien is an excellent cook, so you won't go hungry! We can't say enough about Rouge Bordeaux and Julien and Megan. I recommend them highly and encourage you to run, not walk, to book your stay! :D

Located in the centre of lovely Auros, we have stayed here on our trip to and from our holidays to Spain. Julien welcomed us and made us immediately at ease. The room - we had Chambre Verte - was big enough and well equipped. No parking available, but plenty of space on the street to park the car. Being the excellent "amateur" cook, Julien suprised us both evenings with a ovely 3-course dinner... and in the mornings with his breakfast, one consisting of a Dutch Baby pancake (Google the recipe ;-). Thanks again Megan and Julien for the lovely stay !
