Poor Service & Grubby Accomodation

As a long term Diamond member, I Booked for two nights (points) etc the HGI Frederick, MD for a quick “get-away!” However, we were assigned a basement room, which was grubby (dirty), much like the general public areas.
The hotel was over crowded by two wedding parties, with little to mo social distancing!
We were then woken at 01:00 on the Saturday morning by the guests in the next room being extremely noisy (arguing & shouting) for an hour or so, but despite contacting the front desk twice, they did nothing!
Having then been woken again by the wedding guests in the next room at 0800 with more loud shouting and general noice, we decided that we would not stay for the second night of our visit and spoke to the front desk to check. We were informed that we would receive compensation (a refund of points) for the inconvenience, which has not happened!
More importantly, and very annoyingly, I have just discovered that I have been charged $80 (2 x $40) for the privilege of poor service and an early departure because of their awful service!
I have been a Diamond Honors member for many years, and whilst there have been a few issue with accommodation in that time, Hilton have always addressed them swiftly and with great service. However, HGI Frederick, MD, is letting down the Hilton brand, very badly.
Safe to say, I will never return to this hotel as clearly the staff and the management care little about the quality of the service and the condition of the hotel.

There was a bandage covering the smoke detector in my unit. When I reported it to the desk clerk. She said: must have been the previous guests. No, I’m sorry. Just handed me a receipt. If there was fire, we would have never known. But I guess it’s not important. May still be there. Unit 316. I have never experienced this at any Hilton brand hotel before. Left a bad taste for me.
Well decorated, maintained hotel close to downtown Frederick

Convenient location about 10 mins to downtown Frederick. Well decorated, maintained and furnished room with fridge and microwave. Nice fitness facilities with pool, spa pool, and gym (which had 2 treadmills, bike, cross trainer, free weights with 2 benches, medicine balls, and cable weight machine!). Pool & gym now fully open. Friendly front desk staff. Occupied rooms are now cleaned daily.

It’s was a great weekend trip ans very peaceful! I would definitely, be going back very soon. I’ve stayed here before and it was a really nice experience. The food at the restaurant was divine. Will be back soon!!

I chose this hotel based on the reviews and was disappointed when I opened the door to my room. The rooms are no better than a cheaper hotel chain and definitely NOT up to Hilton standards. Room 203: Carpets are worn, room has a musty odor. The ceiling has small puncture markings and a stain just above the bed. The bathroom door could use a wipe down as there is a dirty smudged area where hands have come in contact. Housekeeping could be improved. Upon arrival, my bed had bits of grass on the duvet, a stray hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor. After a morning shower, the steam revealed a 'cheers' notification left on the mirror. The public areas appeared to be nice but we did not use. Reps Lori and Nicole where super pleasant and helpful. Signs state that masks are to be worn in public areas but that wasn't enforced. I'll decide on another location next time I am in the area.
