We drive over 1500 miles to start our leaf peeping vacation. We started in Bennington. The people at Hampton were our first experiences with VT people. I could not tell if they are unfriendly, don’t like tourist or don’t like people like me. The people at the front desk and the lady serving breakfast did not greet me and did not respond to my greetings. They just stared at me. There was dust on surfaces that should have been cleaned. It’s October 2020 and almost a year living with COVID. I expected Hilton to have high standard of sanitation and cleanliness. Luckily I brought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room properly. Make sure you use the restroom before you leave for the day. I had a difficult time finding a restroom while exploring the area.
Fantastic Business Location
Spending a good portion of my time traveling for business requires a location to offer consistency and ease of use. The team here has welcomed us and made many custom accommodations to allow myself and team to function professionally while away from the main office. The staff here are very friendly and responsive. They have gone above and beyond by providing me access to conference rooms and facilities for meeting with clients and employees. They have the basics that meet my needs including a gym that I usually have to myself. The hiking path behind the building is a good location for run, and the local KOV gym offers a location to get some on the road sparing in if into jiu jitsu or mma.
Could be better
Stayed here for 2 nights. There aren’t many options in town unless you head over to the Albany area. I was amazed that none of the staff and other guests did not wear masks in public places. They seem to be following some COVID-19 precautions, but I did not feel comfortable that there were no masks on anyone. Go over to the Hannafords next door and everyone is wearing a mask! The hotel was near empty and it seemed that everyone was put on one floor. All the rooms around me were full. There was a group of construction workers staying there and they were very noisy (slamming doors, Loud TV throughout the night). The room was clean enough, well equipped; but dated and worn. The toilet was filthy and had mold all over it. You can walk to Hannafords food store and Chili’s restaurant next door which is convenient. Breakfast option in hotel was good. I’ll stay over in Albany next time.

All staff were friendly and courteous. Great location, easy to get to, good pricing. The breakfast included some nice juice and yogurt options. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool!
Love this place
I have only stayed at the Hampton inn a handful of times but we absolutely love it. The rooms are amazing. The beds are comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. The staff are always helpful. They always make sure you are taken care of! Look forward to many more stats here
