Unsanitary. Bed bugs.
My husband and I slept here for two nights on a school trip. We woke up covered in bed bug bites. My husband had over 50. When we searched the bed, we found it was absolutely infested. We found even long-dead bugs. I had to leave behind 350$ worth of clothing. The front desk was unapologetic and rude when we brought this to his attention. His response was “If we knew there were bed bugs, we wouldn’t have rented you the room.” I should hope not. I am unimpressed with not only the unsanitary conditions of the hotel, but also the way this hotel dealt with the issue. Unprofessional. If I could give zero stars, I would.
My friend and I stayed here during a four day visit to Berlin and we were really happy with our stay. The staff were helpful and pleasant, providing all the relevant information we needed on arrival. Our room was very good - clean and tidy with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. Unfortunately we were at the front of the hotel so there was some noise from traffic at night but this can't be helped in a large city! The breakfast provided was excellent and service was good. The only negative aspect was that there was no air conditioning and it was very hot in Berlin during our stay. The location is excellent with a tram stop right outside the hotel and a U-bahn stop just a 10 minute walk away so everything was easily accessible and we had no issues travelling around the city. Another plus is that it's located right were the Berlin Wall was situated and there are lots of interpretation panels with fascinating facts. Also, if you are there on a Sunday, the Mauerpark Flea Market is right next door and across the street! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend it.
This is a gem of a hotel if you’re just looking for a clean place to sleep. Spotless rooms, very big windows overlooking Mauerpark, friendly 24h service and located near the lively but cozy Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood. You’re literally sleeping on the site of the old Wall. Public transport nearby, bikes for rent. And a very generous breakfast which is included. If I return to this wonderful city, I’ll stay in this hotel again.
Weekend in Berlin
I have been in Berlin in may this year. We decided to book a room in hotel 4you. It was pretty hard to find hotel near the downtown, with a good service, near the public transportation, with a properly value. I am pretty sure, this hotel is a good choice for the tourists. Our room was on the 4rd floor, accessed by the lift, room with tea/coffee making facilities clean, and nice view. You can rent bicycle at the lobby on first floor. There are a lot of bicycles pass in downtown and suburb. If your prefer to go sightseeing by public transport you can find bus, tram and subway stations near the hotel. It takes you 15 minutes to get downtown by train or subway and 20 minutes by bicycle. Don't forget to take a map on hotel lobby. Breakfasts in hotel 4you are quite generous.(it was inbooked room) You can find fresh food for children, vegetarians and for people on a some diet. Would recommend this hotel specifically if you are going to see berlin and prefer to save your money.
Stay for Berlin half marathon
The hotel is small but nice and clean. Breakfast has all you need (except strong black coffee). In front you have fast food. And whats's really nice, Maurpark, nearby. The rooms are basic. Had quite nice view from top floor. (Only five floors). One elevator only but it's ok. Easy to find the way back since you can always remember Maurpark.
