Worst hotel experience ever

Stay elsewhere. The hotel has trash outside almost every door, a very rough crowd conducting "business' outside constantly, doors were not secure (both side doors propped open with rocks), room smelled like smoke, poorly made bed on my arrival, shower supplies were empty, loud clonking up and down the stairs at all hours. do not stay here, there are other places to spend your money.

This was a filthy hotel from the elevator floors to our room's tile floors to the food in the sofa bed on the dirty fitted sheet left on it. My reservation was for 5 guests and we were only given 4 towels and there was no bedding for the sofa bed. I called the front desk and she promised to bring them up. Later, I gave up and went down to get them myself (the front desk clerk was busy with a very inappropriate and loud personal call). When I tried to make up the sofa bed (which was old, stained, and very flat), I discovered food crumbs all over as soon as I removed the cushions and when I completely opened it, it still had a fitted sheet with more food stuck to the bottom and a horribly stained mattress. I put all the bedding I was given on top of everything and used our own pillow and blanket we'd brought. I asked the front desk employee who checked us in what they would do to make it right because the room was so dirty (sticky floors, crumbs all over the sofa bed, and a mouse dropping on the floor lamp). She looked at me and shrugged and answered the phone and ignored me. I was too tired after driving all day to look for another place. I figured I'd wait to find the next manager on duty.
I tried to clean the sticky tile floors in our room with a hand towel and it turned completely black. I took this downstairs and showed the housekeeping manager and shared the feedback about our room with her as well. She said, okay, I'll talk to my staff and see what I can do. At 11:45 p.m., I was awakened by 3 vehicles parked just outside the lobby's covered entrance partying, playing music, revving a muscle car engine, and drinking. I couldn't believe the staff would allow this and I called them. After 15 minutes, they moved their cars and party elsewhere.
There were also questionable characters roaming around the hotel hallways and when I got out of the elevator, I felt like I should walk past my room so they wouldn't know which room was mine because it was in clear sight of the elevator. This happened more than once. I wouldn't let my children out of my sight.
I can say that the best part of our stay was the breakfast. The lady working did a great job and was very friendly and I told her so.
I've been a platinum member of IHG before and this was a big disappointment for what I expect out of the Holiday Inn name. I realize it's hard to find good help now, but I paid a premium to stay here and didn't get my value. I also brought the issues to the attention of 3 different staff members/managers, with no or weak apologies and a tiny discount.

While the staff was friendly at this location, there were many other issues that impacted our stay. We were called 2 hours before our check in to tell us that we couldn't have the room we reserved and did not have an immediate solution for us. They finally got clearance from a manager for another option with the same rate. When we arrived, we had to go through the same process. I still am being charged the incorrect rate. The manager was supposed to contact me but we have not heard from them. The breakfast was unimpressive and scarce. There was only cereal and bagels with jelly one morning and the next morning, the coffee was lukewarm and cinnamon rolls were hard. Our air conditioner in our room was noisy and had broken pieces. Not sure what was going on with this property but not our usual positive experience with Holiday Inn. We would not recommend staying here.
Bad customer service and unauthorized charges!!!

I visited this holiday inn last weekend and purchased 2 rooms, one of which I paid for in advance, and the other hotel room I was to pay at the property. Check-in is at 3pm. I received a call from this hotel at 12:30pm on the day of check-in saying that they charged my card and it was declined. I let them know that that is just the card that I used to secure the room. I had a contractual agreement to pay at the property, upon arrival, so why would you try to charge me almost 3 hours before my check in time? The manager, Lisa, was very rude and told me that she wanted to make sure I was coming because they were all sold out and if I wasn’t coming she wanted to sell my room to someone else. I asked her how can you try to charge me and sell my room and I’m not even to check in until 3pm, it was 12:30pm at the time of the call? You haven’t even given me a chance to get to the property. She proceeded to say she was “doing me a favor” and then rudely hung up on me. Once we arrived, we paid for the second room and went to our rooms. Once getting in the rooms there were only 3 towels and 3 face towels in each room, even though both rooms clearly state that each room sleeps 4 people. So I walked to the front desk to request more towels and they told me they were out of towels. I had to go to Walmart to buy towels and face towels. The next morning at 8am I walked back to the front desk and asked for towels and they told me that they were still out of towels. We just checked out at 8am and went to stay somewhere else for the remainder of our stay. I would never stay here again. The manager Lisa is so disrespectful for no reason.
Fun Staff and Clean Rooms

We arrived and the front desk staff was amazing. They have this wheel you can spin. When spinning the wheel the staff makes you feel like you're on a game show. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you are ever in the area you should stay here!
