No masks on staff anywhere; lousy breakfast
Reviewed 2 March, 2021
I was very disappointed at the behavior of your desk clerks and other hotel staff. We are still in the middle of a covid pandemic. We are over 70 and using great precautions when we travel. We bring our own linens and disinfect all surfaces. The signs on the entry doors require masks, but none of your staff were wearing masks. They reluctantly put on a mask when we asked. they said, "our boss doesn't make us wear masks." If this visible rule is violated, how can I know if the room was adequately cleaned and sanitized? We bring our own disinfectant & clean all surfaces and bring our own sheets. (we are like Monk, yes).
Secondly the food selection was abysmal. the only edible things were the waffle, yogurt and juice. I tried the prepackaged cinnamon roll and they were like cardboard, and I suspect the muffins were the same. If there is no need for a mask, then maybe you could bring back bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits?
We stay here once a month because they accept pets but maybe I need to find another pet friendly hotel.
Not taking COVID precautions

The hotel is fine, but the staff do not wear masks and neither do many of the guests. When I wore a mask to get breakfast, the woman putting out the food said out of nowhere, "Ma'am. Ma'am." I responded looking at her, and she told me she couldn't hear me, twice, pointing at my mask. Deliberately baiting your guests seems the opposite of hospitality, and definitely not with concern to guest health and safety.
HORRIBLE DO NOT STAY.

this place is absolutely horrible. Our room stunk like smoke and the smell was so heavy i could not bare to sleep. We were staying here on the way home to break up our trip but this isn’t a break. I’m extremely mad with this company and this hotel. This isn’t fair to people that have to stay in these rooms. The rooms are also DIRTY!!! Do yourself a favor and go across the street. You’ll be much more Happy you did so!! This place doesn’t even deserve a star.

I have stayed at this particular hotel several times, but this visit was work related during a holiday. I was satisfied true enough for the rate as well as being in a suite but I was dissatisfied with management and his staff. I originally booked for 2 nights and once it was time for me to check out I decided to do an extended stay Well I was granted that after the staff had to call the manager to confirm. The staff informed me that I would be paying $37 as an extended stay after being asked multiples time.; I also asked if he could email me an confirmation (Which I never got at that time) And I should've doubled checked yes but I never had any issues with this hotel until now . So Sunday when it was time for me to check out I noticed my card had been charged more than what was informed of me. The guy (staff) stated he did not recall giving me that information. I informed him to contact Daniel (manager) he did. Daniel went back and forth with me stating maybe it was a miscommunication I stated no sir I also stated to roll the camera back, he stated they had no audio I stated well you will see my lips moving of that amount. I also informed him that I never received an email from the guy after asking. I even said if I had received an email I would have handled the situation then. But of course I was working an thrown off. So after being on the phone with Daniel for so long he stated he would call me back after thinking about it. At this time it was 9 am ( I was going to check out early than regular check out time) I informed Daniel that I had no family close and no funds to get home. I ended up leaving before check out still on prayer and last $20...Daniel called back hours later and basically informed me that it was nothing that he could do and if I wanted to get my attorney involved that would be fine and he hung up in my face. I was so hurt and felt this was so unprofessional and poor management. I called this morning to get general manager number I was informed Daniel was standing near and he was general manager, I asked for his supervisor's number and was informed they did not have that information.
Pool Closed, Limited Breakfast

We booked the rooms 8 months ago. Since that time, COVID happened but we were not notified of the changes we could expect (or given a discount to reflect the reduced amenities). We booked this hotel because of the pool, but upon check in, we were informed the pool was closed due to COVID. Why? The chlorinated water should inactivate the virus. We were also informed that the breakfast offerings would be limited. Why? The dining room was open and being used as normal for breakfast, but now with longer lines and wait times for the one hot food option offered (waffles), why couldn’t the full menu be served? It feels like they were using COVID as an excuse to offer less, but at the same price.
Also, the cleaning service appears to be doing the minimum required. It did not feel clean. The bathroom floor was a mess and the carpet crevices were full of crumbs.
