84DC Hotel

Reason for my 2stars is as follows: Tried to be taxed the 19% for Colombian Nationals stating “ no this is a tax as it’s a residential area...” which is rubbish, stated on booking.com that’s all I’d pay then tried to rip me off , and , Seriously overcharged for taxi from the airport, and the most expensive taxi ride I’ve had here, very bad customer service. Don’t kill the goose which lays the golden egg. If you can avoid these items you will have a nice stay

Bogota is a big city so the location is of the upmost importance. We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip to Colombia and 3 nights at the end. After travelling around the country for a couple of weeks it was good to get back to to Hotel 84 DC. It's location is close to the shops, shopping centre, banks and restaurants and it's in a very nice part of the city. The hotel is small probably about 5-6 rooms per floor, there is parking below if you need it. The rooms are comfortable with large TV, safe, coffee maker and en-suite, we loved the ample hot water of the shower such a relief after experiencing some dire ones at other hotels on our trip. There is 24 hour hotel concierge so there is good security if you are worried. The breakfast area is excellent with an outside seating area so you can enjoy your breakfast. We had a good choice from cooked omelettes, eggs, breads, cakes, cereals, fresh fruits, juices, yogurt, excellent coffee and tea etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are so helpful and friendly a special mention to Fernando, Tibisay, Monica on reception and the girls serving breakfast, there is room service until late into the evening. The hotel is very clean from top to bottom.

For 2 night stay the hotel was perfect. Location is very good, close to good cafes and restaurants and The Andino shopping mall. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice . Lighting in the bedroom is a bit dim and bathroom was quite small. Good value for money.

this hotel arranged for us by our tour guide. Great choice. Good Breakfast and clean rooms. I think the only thing missing was that they did not have an area to get a drink i.e. glass of wine, or beer etc

Noise isoation is very bad, you can hear everything from the neighbourings rooms. Breakfast is very limited. Staff however is doing their best, being nice and smiling. Thanks a lot for the eggs cooked on request every morning.
