Excellent! Close to the airport and ... buffering ... buffering ... buffering
Our stay here is way below par and that may be hard to believe considering the reputation of the Ramada Encore family. On check-in, we were asked to pay for the 2 nights' stay which we happily obliged. We thought the wooden bow tie of the manager/supervisor and nameplates of the reception staff were quite unique and demonstrates environmentalism, we liked that. However, when I got to the room, out of habit, I checked my confirmation only to realize I have already fully paid in November 2019. A refund was arranged with an apology. How could they get this wrong you may ask? Same question here. It's pathetic when veteran big international hotels make silly mistakes like this. It only means their method is flawed and they could do better. A glaring alert of "fully paid" next to a booking confirmation in their system should solve this problem. Those who booked far in advance and forgot they already paid, what happens then??? No spare sockets in the table area which is inconvenient when you are doing some work. Complimentary bottled water is a nice touch. Bed/beddings & the temperature of the room are comfortable. The room is clean and decent in size. The noise level is negligible. High level cleanliness (aircon grill) is commendable. Breakfast is varied and reasonably good. The dinner experience was a hit and miss. Salmon dish was nice, the steak was tasteless, the bean soup was tasteless, the mortadella was delicious, the Menabrea beer is definitely worth a try. We ordered Tiramisu and cheesecake at the same time of ordering our starter and main meal and guess what ... they forgot, so we just told them to cancel if it's not yet ready. There was no apology or anything, which confirmed our initial observations that restaurant staff lacked the attentiveness and customer service skills necessary in a customer-facing role. One particular male (slim) restaurant/bar staff excels in his rude mannerisms. He doesn't care at all whether you enjoyed your meal or not. As long as you paid, that's the end of it. Astonishing really why he's still there? Ramada, any comments? To end on a positive note, the location is a short drive to the airport and next to a petrol station. Will I recommend or will I stay again? Perhaps I will, only when humans start to migrate to Mars.
Very nice hotel good location 15 meters bus stop with bus number 25 17 min you are in centre 10 min to train st and from there in an hour you are in venice and hour 15 min in milan they could upgrade the breakfast young lady from sicily i recommend it and defenetly when i ll decide italy i ll go there because the price for christmas was perfect .

Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. However, I was given a hotel room on the ground floor. Walls were paper thin - I could hear the conversations in the room next door and the slamming of bedroom doors all night. I booked this hotel as it boasted the sauna and steam. So I was shocked to discover that there was actually a charge for the service and you were timed whilst there. €20 for an hour. Plus, as I was on the ground floor I had to traipse through reception, up in the lift, through a corridor and down another lift in a dressing gown. So my expectations of feeling having a relaxed time in the hotel were diminished. The hotel is a good distance from the airport in a cab. However getting into the centre is 20 minutes by bus and two buses if you want to get to the airport by this means.
If you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. You could literally hear everything from the corridors to the next room neighbors. Isolation of the rooms are very poor. We had couple of sleepless nights due to uneducated guests on our floor. We stayed five nights in this hotel and every morning the breakfast was the same. The organization of the restaurant during breakfast time is so chaotic, most guests have no buffet etiquette, every morning it was like now or never situation and the restaurant staff were absolutely rubbish and didn’t care or had no interest. All they wanted to finish off and clean the buffet as fast as they can. The restaurant staff were the most unfriendliest bunch. They all were not interested or had no enthusiasm to work there, no smile , no politeness what so ever. If I could name one who was rude to us were Luciano. One evening we wanted to have a coffee and cakes at the cafe, Luciano left the coffee at the bar for us to come pick it up instead of bringing the coffee to our table which was literally right next to us . When I addressed him how poor his service was he had such an attitude and told me I am not paid to bring the coffee to your table. That’s how poor the customer service was. On a positive note room cleaning staff 1st Floor was excellent. Hats off to them. Generally customer service in Bologna are so pathetic compared to Florence. People in Florence are so polite and helpful in shops. Will never visit Bologna again neither Ramada Encore

We stayed one night in this hotel and I have to say that it was dissapointing seeing that the standards of this brand went very low. There was a lack of organisation for breakfast, employees talking very loud to each other. The variety they offer is very low and the quality is very doubtfull. Room is large enough, pleasent, no minibar...:( wich is a big minus.
