Fully functional / Solid stay

To start off with, the Boulder Homewood is in an excellent location, quick and convenient to all Boulder main attractions. The adjacent shopping area has a supermarket and multiple restaurants if you don't want to drive anywhere else at the end of the day. One of the buildings runs alongside a very busy road; we were in that building, but received a room facing the interior courtyard and it was very quiet. Breakfast was better than average for this level of hotel. You could tell the placed had been updated recently, which was nice, but there was some obviously very poor workmanship in our room as well as some cheap materials. This in no way interfered with functionality or sleep, so not a serious complaint. The Andy real complaint was regarding some very weak, almost hollow pillows. Overall this is a very good value choice for the Boulder hospitality market.
Staff great, location great, room, meh.

The four stars is for the staff and the location of the hotel - we were close to everything, and the staff was attentive to our needs. The rooms are on the old side, and I did find crumbs inside some of the cabinets. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway, so it was acceptable. Kids loved the pool!
Very Good Homewood Suites

Regular Homewood suites - room was clean not totally modern but was fine. Prob best Homewood breakfast we've had! service was good. had a small problem of water on closet floor but notified front desk -it was morning of check out so we didn't ask for anything to be done for us. easy drive to downtown - didn't see any reason to stay downtown -this place worked!

Unlike previous reviews, we easily found this hotel with Google maps, as it is tucked behind a large shopping area. The hotel has a number of separate building surrounding a pool area, which looks very nice. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't what we hoped, as this is a tired older hotel. After specifically asking in advance for a high floor and away from the elevator, we were, instead, given a room literally next to the elevator. I was told that there were no others available. What more does a Hilton Honors member for decades need to do, other than requesting in advance, to not be next to the elevator? While the suite was very large and comfortable, the old toilet squealed every time it was flushed. While there was a kitchenette, there were no utensils or plates, unlike at all other Homewood's we've stayed. At checkout, I learned that dishes and plates were in the dishwasher. Really? The breakfast offered primarily unhealthy choices including their "bagel bites" as a main course; soft bagels doused with cheese, or what I would call a carb nightmare. No eggs. Ice had to be retrieved by asking a staff in the kitchen, as ice was unavailable in any of the buildings. Thank goodness we were able to use points for this stay, as this place was a major disappointment. I met a guest who said they had to pay $350 for their room. Wow!
