Awesome find, in this now crazy hotel market!

I just couldn't take it anymore. I needed an escape. With Florida, being number one in the Covid resurgence, I didn't feel comfortable heading for my favorite beaches. So instead, I choose the four hour drive to Nashville.
Researching hotels, I found what everyone else is finding, that many of them (downtown and even near the airport) are charging 200% or more than previous historical rates I'd experienced (I keep all travel receipts). So I extended my search to nearby Brentwood, an upscale area SW of Nashville with gated properties, large homes and fancy cars.
With a little help from tripadvisor.com, I zeroed in on this Hilton Garden Inn, Brentwood.
Location- From the hotel to downtown Nashville is only about a 16 mile drive. It is located on a business street surrounded by two and three story office buildings that have little activity on the weekends. It is a very quiet, very clean, neighborhood and makes you feel safe and comfortable. Surprisingly, although it has a parking lot, there is marked street parking in front of the hotel.
Retail nearby- There were some stores and shop about two blocks away, but I did not pay much attention to them.
Exterior and Lobby-The exterior of the white brick building and the grounds were immaculate. The lobby were so clean and modern, with excellent furnishings that you'd think the place was hand cleaned by a series of robots.
Staff- I knew my away around Nashville (I'd work there once), so I didn't need any information or directions from the staff. But they were courteous, professional and most of all, they had face mask protections. There was a partition barrier between the staff and the guests, which was fine with us.
Room- The room was a medium size, but that was fine for two people. It was simple, appeared very clean and thank god, it did NOT have carpeted floors. A dirty or soiled carpet, irritates me. The AC had the room too cold, so we cut it off, hit downtown for a little bit and it was just the right temperature when we returned.
Bed- Huge king size bed that was very comfortable. From the moment you touched it, well, you didn't want to get up. Furnishing were up to par, no signs of significant wear and tear.
Bathroom- Very nice, not very large, but well stocked. No complaints.
Service- Just before check out (12 noon) returned to the room, but couldn't get the key to work. So the front desk re-activate it, but, again, it wouldn't work. So they issued me a new key and the manager on duty, came up with me to the room, to make sure it worked. Whoa! Service!
Rounding back to the top- Most of the hotels I saw for the Friday night stay were running almost $300 or more and I knew from my previous visits to Nashville that many of those hotels weren't worth even $120, because I have stayed at them as a guest before.
Shucks, honestly, I don't like paying more than $140 a night for any hotel. But finding this very nice one (just short of $200 a night, in a quiet, upscale, remote part of town with very little traffic. Well, that defines what a value is.
Perspective- My companion is super paranoid about Covid, although we are vaccinated. It took a herculean effort to convince her to travel on the road to another city and stay in a 'hotel', after staying in the safety or her home for more than 14 months. From the time we walked into the Hilton Garden-Brentwood, with her analyzing everything about the place, she was pleased and relaxed.
Covid is real, anyone who thinks it is not, is fooling (nice word) themselves. So in these new travel days, it is important that a property presents itself as clean, sanitary and concerned. She said, "I did good", so that's why Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Brentwood gets and 'excellent' score from me.
One last thing- I did not hear a single dog yelping within the building. I like that.
Very nice property not far from downtown Nashville

The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and the cooked breakfast is very good. Parking is on the street, but readily available, seemingly at all hours. Recommend staying here, as we felt safe. Negatives... the A/C unit consists of an under window unit that is extremely loud when running...the control is on the opposite wall with a thermostat, but the under window unit rattled all night. Also the bathroom is very small and without a fan...so the mirror was steamed up after showers and our shower head was broken, so we could not adjust it or it would fall down.
