It looked like they did some type of half-assed renovation and are trying to sell this place as high quality executive suites. The rooms look pretty good in the pictures, but in person is where they fail. I checked in and was given a room on the 2nd floor, which me and my cousin who was traveling with me (and couldn't check into her room due to a cluster at the front desk) opened up to go in and were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke. We were given another room on the 4th floor and that one smelled like reefer. It wasn't terrible and I didn't want to be a pain in the ass so I stayed with it. Sitting on the toilet (the seat which was clearly not the proper size for this bowl and moved around as if not bolted in properly) I noticed that the towel bar above the shower was drooping because it was broken and that there was a 3-4 inch ring of dirt around the bottom of my tub. Also after I took off my shoes and walked on the bathroom floor I also noticed a sticky substance in the floor. You could also see that the grout in the tile of the bathroom floor was black, but mostly white around the edges. Pretty disgusting so I put towels down so my feet didn't come in contact with the floors. So speaking of sticky substances, they were every where in the room. The wall by the light switch, the night stand and the dresser and drawers. Was this room even cleaned? I lost an item I had and thought maybe it fell behind the bed, so I moved the mattress away from the wall and just couldn't believe all the garbge back there on the floor. Went to use my fridge and it was iced over all on the back wall and I mean one section was a few inches thick. There were these copper colored dime sized shiny confetti looking things all behind my bed and randomly on the edge of the floor in my room and also all over the hallway the whole 4 nights that I stayed there. Was vacuuming not a thing there?? I could go on about other little details of my room but I think you get the point. The only positive thing I have to say about it is that the bed was pretty supreme! I mean the mattress was very comfortable! And the fact that they had Dr Bronner's soap, shampoo and conditioner was nice as well. I did encounter a manager right off the bat (Cassandra) who did help out a bit and was very nice. And when I asked the front desk to send house keeping to clean the ring of my tub, they sent someone right away and he did a great job. All in all I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't stay here again. The location is a little sketchy and service was hit and miss.
Lack of parking makes makes this a no go

Parking problem. Not enough spaces in hotel lot. This could be very disconcerting especially if you arrive late. We checked in, went to dinner, and no space. Parked in handicap space while I went to inquire about options, none. There was across the street if you leave by 8 am. That wasn’t acceptable, so I was instructed to park very close to the in the narrow driveway that is in front of the entrance so other cars could get by. I did it, but it was so narrow, I checked to see if the car was ok first thing I thing in the morning. Weird is that from your hotel window, you see parking lots galore. Appears that late arrivals would have no good choices.
Breakfast, let’s just say it was edible.
The hotel staff was very nice and friendly and doing the best under the circumstances.

Have stayed here twice, the last stay was about 9 years ago.
This is a great place to stay in Buffalo, several eateries are within walking distance
Free parking on the street from 5:00 pm to 8:00 am, and a paid lot right across the street
Rooms are huge and spotless
Zero regrets and will stay here again
One kind employee and that was about it

I wanted to like this hotel, especially the location. But not so much. Upon arrival things went downhill fast. Normal checkin in takes less than 5 minutes usually- photo id and cc, get your keys/WiFi code and off you go. Except the the hotel did not have a working computer system. So photocopy of license and credit card.... which made me a bit uneasy as I don’t like handing my credit card to anyone. And with no internet, front desk does not know which rooms are clean. The kind and hospitable FD staff had to literally leave the desk, go up the elevators to find HK to find out which rooms were clean. (HK kind of lied... more to come on that). He returns, I get my keys and we are off.
You know the sofa bed? To let you know, the clean linens are in the closet near the kitchenette- blankets, sheets, pillows. The clean sheets are not kept balled up in the sleeper sofa. Yes... HK left dirty sheets in the bed. We realized this after we made the bed with the sheets (thinking they were clean.. after child said they didn’t smell clean...then we found the clean stuff in the closet). I was pissed! So downstairs I go. Incredible FD Deon is upset for me. And I get to meet someone new... the GM. He takes care of me. I had checked to make sure other parts of the room had been cleaned and vacuumed- they appeared to have been. But I did clean every surface with Lysol wipes I had in the car.
After that horrible first night... it went ok( we stayed for 3 nights). Other FD staff seemed to be not the helpful and/or kind of bothered when you asked for help. Each day, my key would either not work in the elevator access or it would not allow me in my room, so I was at the desk at least twice a day.
In one of the 2 elevators sat a caution wet floor sign for 2 days folded up... never did see the wet floor.
The fridge in the room was super cold. Great for soda, not great for cut up fruit.
FYI- garbage truck comes at 4am on Friday mornings. If you see the picture looking down at the run in/ run out parking lot under our room, the garbage receptacle is to the left of it.
So the good parts-
Deon and the comfy beds

Nice hotel downtown Buffalo, Hotel and rooms were very clean. Given COVID that is a big plus. Staff was cheerful and helpful. We had a two room suite that was very nice. Hotel is close to many restaurants and activities. Canalside and the casino are a short drive. We had a pretzel and beer at the newly opened Hofbrauhouse which is a huge beerhall, dinner at Big Ditch Brewery. Both did a great job of social distancing diners. This will be my go to hotel in Buffalo in the future.
