Great choice for Centro location
Stayed here for two weeks. Really nice rooms, well-designed, long desk, chaise lounge with table, good closet design, big walk-in shower. Food is good here, restaurant located inside hotel. Staff is very friendly, special shout-out to Joshua, who was very helpful to me each day. A very good value for clean, updated rooms & baths. Always taxis outside. Excellent choice if wanting to stay outside of Hotel Zone.
Comfortable beds and good food
The beds here are great, not too hard like most beds in Mexican hotels. The food in the hotel is really good too with decent prices and you can get room service for free. The staff is nice and accommodating. The rooftop pool is nice and relaxing with views of nature. The bathrooms are modern with good hot water and water pressure. The hotel was decorated nicely for Christmas with a tree and lights. The wifi, tv and air conditioning were great. The only down points were some little things like they don’t have laundry service and they wouldn’t recommend a place nearby that did, the gym did not have a functioning water dispenser, the elevators broke, the rooms are not very spacious, there weren’t sheets or towels in the room when we got there, the location doesn’t have many restaurants immediately around it, the service in the restaurant can be slow sometimes, our friends hotel room had a coffee machine in it while ours didn’t, etc. Would recommend if you are looking to save some money but still have some American style comfort.
Excellent Choice
The staff was extremely accommodating, and the hotel is very clean and in very good shape. On the down side, the refrigerator in the room is very small, there are no microwaves and only 1 of the 2 rooms we stayed in had a coffee maker in the room. The bathrooms are very nice and our second room had both a bathtub and walk-in shower; the first still had the great walk-in shower with 2 shower heads. I'm always wary of walking barefoot on hotel carpets but the sheraton has ceramic tile floors that housekeeping disinfects and squeegees clean each day (see photo). The closest stores or restaurants are about a 0.5 mile (1km) from here. That's only a 10 minute walk. There was one dining room and though the food wasn't the lowest price around, the portions were big and excellently prepared. The shrimp cerviche appetizer was more than enough for 2, maybe 3. I had the most tender and delicious flank steak (TAPIQUEÑA) that I ever tasted in Mexico. Fantastic! Photo of the nachos I had for lunch. It took all I had to finish them. The kitchen will also prepare items not listed in the menu; we ordered spaghetti Alfredo one night. The chicken fingers were light and crispy but didn't have much flavor. The quesidias were a bit dry. The wait staff were the best!
Centrically located
If you come to Cancun and you are planning on spending more time in tours that the “zona hotelera “ this is the place to stay. Transportation is better from here that “zona hotelera” rooms are decent size clean and good costumer service. You can actually tell the tour companies to pick you up here. A lot of good places around for dining and drinking. Way more affordable than other hotels
An isolated gem
My first impression of the Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro was that it's not quite Centro. But after checking in and meeting the friendly and efficient staff that was the last thing on my mind. Checking in was a breeze and fast. After settling in to my very clean and spacious room I went up to the roof top infinity pool. With the bar service and the view I was tempted to forget my plans and stay there. The hotel restaurant is small and functional but the food from breakfast to dinner is excellent! The meals were hot, fresh, well prepared and the staff was friendly and helpful. With menus in English and Spanish.
