More about the hotel
Good location! Easy to take ADO bus from the Airport to the Gamma Hotel (Centro/ Downtown)
Recommended! Clean rooms, well kept, and reception is kind. In my shower, there was a Rainfall shower head. Lovely. Amenities included. Complimentary bottled water. The rooms and hallways have a Grecian white tone, with some marbled walls. The floors are polished sandstone blend. Hotel has their own gym, restaurant, and a rooftop bar/ pool. Amazing views of Cancun at the top 5th floor. Also-- Short walking distance to get groceries, restaurants, clothes and to travel on all public transit (includes ADO, long distance vans/ buses/collectives). Recommended!
Very good deal!
We liked this hotel on every way. I didnt expect much since the price is very affordable. But exceed our expectations. We love the location next to Puerto Cancun. The hotel design and details are lovely. The room was nice and very boutique. Just be careful with the balcony doors, the may lock you out. The rooftop seems fun with nice view even though is not ocean view. Overall very good hotel, most if you are for business in town. We would stay again for sure!
Excellent Service
The rooftop bar is beautiful. We celebrated New Years Eve there and the staff was so friendly and went above and beyond! The view is beautiful and the DJ music was great. Everything is so clean; this is a good central location in Cancun that is a little further from the Hotel Zone and less crowded. We would recommend renting a car.
Decent location, Deceptive Photos, Disgusting Standard of Cleanliness
This was the 3rd stop of our honeymoon and upon arrival we found that our room was completely not as advertised on Gamma Hotel's website. The "Superior King" room was pictured and presented to be spacious, with a balcony over looking the city, and ample seating areas inside and out. What actually greeted us was a cramped, low ceiling-ed, dusty room with a view of the elevator shaft. Old receipts from former customers still littered the floor which was gritty from sand and dirt. When we approached the front desk about the discrepancies between the room we arrived to and what we thought we booked we were told that all the photos online are in fact photos of their "Junior Suite" and we were shuffled into a "Superior Double" room. This room was also significantly unclean. A layer of sand and grit coated the floors (visibly under the beds), windows and mirrors bore clear imprints and smudges from past occupants, personal hygiene items from the last woman who stayed remained in the bathroom, as well as a drain so clogged that in the shower that it took nearly the hour post each use to drain (not that we wanted to spend much time in the barely tepid water). The sheets started our five night stay questionably clean and were never changed. The daily "cleaning" seemed to consist of flipping the duvet to try to hide stains and switching out towels. Not once in our stay was the whole room swept, the same receipts remained the entire time. On the plus side if you stay here you will be so distracted by the howl of sirens and traffic at the nearby roundabout day and night that you might not notice the lack of cleaning.
Location is excellent.
Great modern hotel that's spotless, great staff and close to everything. The rooftop bar is awesome and a great place to chill out and watch the spectacular views. It's great if you are not going to be spending a lot of time in your room.Highly recommended.
