Amazing views, room a little tired
We stayed here for 2 nights in December. Our unit was on the first floor (really the second floor), facing the beach. The balcony was perfect, the view was absolutely outstanding. The interior of the unit was completely servicable, but could use some updating. There weren't nearly enough outlets to charge our various devices (I think only 3 in the whole room, including one which was kind of falling out of the wall). The beds were comfortable. The water pressure was not good at all, in shower or toilet. The staff was very nice and helpful, we arrived early and they locked up our bags so we could go out for lunch while we waited for our room to be ready. There seemed to be a restaurant on the other side of the pool deck, but we didn't eat there. This area of Cancun is quite loud and tacky. We only stayed there because we wanted to be close to 360 Surf School. At around $115 a night, we felt we paid a fair price for such a great view.
Great Beach View
The studio that I stayed in was very clean, modern and adequately furnished. The balcony views were every bit as good as advertised. I arrived late in the afternoon the day before hurricane Zeta made landfall. Because of this, I was unable to use the pool area as it had a lot of sand in it from the storm. I was also unable to access the beach from the lobby area. There are 2 elevators, but one seemed to be stuck at the PH level for the duration of my stay. The beach is fantastic and is perfect for long strolls the immediate area around the condos is a tacky party zone with loud music and and an abundance of hawkers.
A fabulous place for a quarantine
My fiancé and I are both in high risk groups for respiratory illness, so when we were on spring break in Mexico and Covid-19 hit, and hit fast, we decided that we would shelter in place here in Mexico. As the hotels started closing and the one that we were staying in, announced that it would shut down, we needed a new plan. So we looked at several travel websites, including our favorite one Trip advisor. Many things were closed or closing, and we started to worry. Eventually we found this condo in Salvia, available for long terms rentals and booked for 1 month, thinking things would all blow over by then, we’ve now been in this room for over 7 weeks and just extended our reservation through July. We have been so pleased with the choice to stay here at Salvia. The building is so clean and the staff have been amazing to us through this strange time. The amenities are great, I’ve been swimming in the beautiful pool everyday. Every room has a balcony and if you get an ocean facing unit, the vies of the sunset are spectacular, lagoon facing rooms, not on the bottom two floors, offer stunning sunsets. Note, the floor numbering system is different so look carefully when you book. We were at first disappointed that we could only get a 2nd floor unit, but there is a mezzanine level, that makes the second floor, actually the third and it’s plenty high to see the views. We are right next to CocoBongo, so I’m sure that the noise and party atmosphere are usually much hirer, but at this time, when Quintana Roo is all but deserted, this is one of the most peaceful places imaginable. We have enjoyed two full moons off the balcony and it continues to take my breath away. Please be well.
Cancun Getaway
Outstanding customer service. Very neat and clean. Enjoyed it very much. My wife and I had an outstanding experience here. First time to Mexico. It was close to everything thing we wanted to do. Definitely recommend.
Older resort close to entertainment district
The condo is located next to the entertainment area of the hotel zone. There are about a dozen night clubs as well as a Chedredaui super store and many fine restaurants within walking distance. We especially liked La Nature & Macambo. There is a convenient bus stop right outside the guarded locked gate. It costs 12 pesos (about 63 cents) and a bus goes by frequently. The studio apartment is well equipped and we especially liked the 5 gallon purified cold water dispenser - saved running to grocery every day or two for water. From the balcony we could see surfers, jet skiers, paddle borders, parasailers and couples taking wedding photos. The people at the reception desk were friendly and helpful although they did not have many promos and discounts for area attractions and restaurants as other place in Cancun we have stayed. The gate to the beach needs to be improved as it only opens remotely from the reception. Some waited as long as 5 minutes to get in or out. A bell or buzzer is needed.
