Fantastically helpful staff at Abril Hotel Boutique
My boyfriend and I stayed at Abril Hotel for 2 days in February 2020, the staff were extremely helpful in organising our day out to some of the vineyards in Lujan De Cayo with only 1 hrs notice. The rooms are basic but very clean and there is a 24 hour reception
Good staff, central and some things to improve.
The hotel was nice, very well located and the staff was very kind, but the Hotel fails in the details. The breakfast is to simple, and mostly sweet things. The bed could be better and the room heating is not efficient.
Central, adequate, nice staff
Needs some TLC but lots of hot water! Very clean. Breakfast a disappointment- no cheese, meat or fruit, only children’s cereal. Wi-fi slow and flaky. Staff pleasant and helpful. Fair value for money. Good location for restaurants, sites and shopping: good laundry nearby. Vegetarian restaurant & carry out, Govinda, nearby. Go to Bröd for breakfast (and lunch & dinner!).
Nice stay but they charge a deposit without asking..
The hotel is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect. The only downside is that they blocked us an amount of 6000 pesos (145 usd) and we’re still waiting for them to pay the deposit back! They blocked it without asking and it seems to take weeks or months until we have the amount back..
Not what the pictures advertised
My wife and I booked a room at this hotel for the first few nights of our honeymoon and only ended up staying the first night. The pictures they used to advertise the hotel looked nothing like the room we had. It was very small and the bathroom was sub-par. The door to the room was hollow core and seemed like it could have been pushed open if you tried hard enough. This is the kind of place I probably would not have minded if I were there alone and trying to save money, but definitely not the kind of place I wanted to stay in on my honeymoon. I will say that the staff was VERY nice and the common areas of the hotel were clean and looked fairly recently updated. We were only charged for the night that we stayed even though we had two other nights booked and there was no cancellation fee. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash right in the middle of it all in Mendoza, and don’t mind that the accommodations are on the level of a hostel with private bathrooms, this would be a good choice.
