Unclean and unpleasant stay- not up to 4* standards.

The good first: breakfast was decent albeit quite limited with low-quality coffee. The beds were comfortable, we slept well only with the aid of earplugs, as the neighbouring doors slammed extremely loudly.
The bad: The carpet in the room was horrendously dirty with large, crusty stains in areas. Sticky drink residue was apparent beneath the glass table tops on desk and bedside tables. Shaving mirror broken and unusable. Shower screen leaked water every time. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. Printed menu was stained from previous occupant. All this was in a SECOND replacement room, after we had complained about similar hygiene issues in the initial room, which additionally had a strong tobacco smoke smell. Our room was changed but unfortunately we saw the same issues, and worse... The level of cleanliness and hygiene needs to be seriously addressed. It doesn't fill guests with confidence during a pandemic. Complaining a second time seemed futile for our short visit.
Level of breakfast-staff hospitality leaves much to be desired. Although I encountered 2 helpful staff, generally speaking, there is a real lack of professional hospitality among staff members- not representative of a 4* hotel. It really felt more like a youth hostel. I will consider other hotels before staying at a Radison in the future.
Worst 4 star hotel I’ve ever seen

Spend your money elsewhere, the cleanliness of this hotel is atrocious. No warm welcome at check in, only one lift in operation which didn’t cause us any hassle however at peak times I can imagine this would be a nightmare, seems to be out of service for years according to other reviews.
The room was dirty & outdated, which is damaging your brand. I’ve never checked into a 4 star hotel with so many issues on arrival.
- Room was stinking which I presume is due to the carpets being filthy, marks all over.
- heavy dust on fittings
- Multiple hairs on bedding
- Bath rail damaged
- Furniture worm & severely scuffed
- Kettle was disgusting, build up visible inside & out.
- Rooms outdated & needs to be brought up to date
Overall very disappointed, I checked out after 5 minutes & went to hotel indigo which was miles better.
Great night in Cardiff

Chose this hotel as we were looking to be very close to the city centre where there is a great choice of restaurants. Check-in was smooth and efficient. We were allocated a junior suite (I think) on the 21st floor. Absolutely amazing views over Cardiff. Room was very well appointed, lots of glass frontage and very clean. Had a drink in the bar before going out with lots of comfortable furniture and a good range of drinks. Breakfast was great - lots of choices and really freshly presented and at last, a hotel with a decent cup of coffee. Staff were attentive throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Luke on the reception was the only positive thing on our first day so so helpful under extreme pressure due to staff shortages… 1hour to check in then room not finished… car parking was a nightmare… breakfast was good as well .. not the best start to our family time away and it’s not cheap .. vish on reception was miserable and looked like he didn’t want to be there … at least one member of staff went over the top to help put all our issue right … well done Luke 👏👍
Very tired rooms

Booked the Radission Blu expecting a premium experience, far from it I'm afraid. Rooms need a complete overhaul, cupboards are from the 70's, not enough lighting, not impressed with the standard for a 4 star hotel.
