This hotel is in a great part of the old town as you are away from the craziness and noise of some parts. Hotel is small so service is basic. Staff are really friendly and helpful There is a great little pool for a refreshing dip and view of the city.

We stayed for two nights in this remarkable hotel which is a renovated family estate. I’m so glad that we did. It is simply beautiful with large common areas and very spacious bedrooms and baths. Our room was gorgeous with lots of room to spread out. The lighting was especially good which is a rarity in hotels in Colombia. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The location is quiet and very convenient as we were able to walk to many shops, restaurants, bars, salons, etc. At breakfast, I was thrilled to drink delicious coffee with hot milk because good coffee was surprisingly not served at any of our hotels in Colombia and usually only with powdered cream. Before, during and after our stay, the communication with the manager Leslye was excellent. She is a lovely and kind woman who went out of her way to be of assistance when needed. I told her that I was hoping to get my hair cut and colored before we returned home and she arranged an appointment for me at a salon around the corner. When the time came, one of the nice ladies who worked at the hotel, walked me to the salon, escorted me up the stairs, introduced me to the hair stylist and explained what I wanted. That’s the kind of exceptional service that is so appreciated when traveling in a foreign country. And by the way, my hair turned out beautifully despite me not speaking a word of Spanish and the stylist not speaking a word of English. While the cost of our room was a bit higher than others we stayed at in Colombia, it was well spent given the beauty and comfort of the hotel and the exceptional service provided. I highly recommend Casa Quero for a stay in Cartagena!
Waiting for refund after being checked in, then checked out of hotel.

I booked his hotel as part of a trip to Colombia. As a consequence of COVID-19, we asked to cancel whilst the country was entering lockdown during our time in Colombia and we were trying to organise an earlier departure. After being refused cancellation at Casa Quero or an earlier departure, we decided to keep our booking. After turning up at the hotel, we were checked in, and then after being checked in, we were asked to leave the hotel and find other accommodation as the hotel was closing completely due to no other guests. We were offered a refund, and opted for the refund via booking.com. To this date, despite multiple attempts to chase, we are still waiting for the refund. The hotel is taking bookings, so should honour the refund originally offered.

Where to begin? If we had to return to Cartagena we will definitely return to casa Quero. We had a wonderful time there. Everything was perfect, the location, the accommodations and especially the service!! Highly recommended.

I must admit I have been quite a leach on TripAdvisor, travelled to several countries and used trip advisor extensively but never wrote a review. But my stay here at Casa Quero has compelled me to finally write one. We stayed here for a couple of nights ( wife and three year old daughter) and it was a magical experience. While I have stayed in hotels and accommodations with better facilities, what truly differentiates this one is the attention that you receive from the all girls rockstar hotel team. Anna, Elsie, Angella the housekeeper, and the others made us feel at home with their warmth and attitude ( Even though we barely speak Spainish). They were especially very accommodating with our daughter, making her special breakfast daily, playing with her. It was a wonderful way to celebrate her third birthday with these kindest people who are the true embodiment of Colombian culture. Also a big shout to Manuel the tour guide, arranged by Anna who gave us a wonderful city tour. All through the tour he was so helpful with my daughter’s stroller lifting it around. The icing on the cake was Manuel taking my wife for emerald shopping and patiently waiting for us for over two hours when clearly he didn’t have to. I wish I had spent more time here than the two nights. We had stayed for a night at Hotel Hyatt Regency to spend a day at the beach. But with all their glitz and high end facilities, these hotels do not have the same Colombian warmth and affection.
