Clean, Friendly Staff, Affordable, But . .

We liked almost everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was very clean and the common areas were large and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so I can't comment on that but it did look good!
We happened to be in Room 209 and there was no escape in case of a fire. The room next to ours had the same situation. The 'escape' in the case of fire is a skylight (see photo.) You would need to get a wand to open the skylight as large as possible, stand on the bed, and have the strength to pull yourself up and out. Once you squeezed through the hole, you would be on the peak of the steep roof. This is the ONLY thing I didn't like about our stay.
Room 209 is VERY small and there is only one chair and a tiny step stool, leaving someone to sit on the bed. It is small enough that only one person could move around at a time.
The location is great and the grocery store is very close.
We plan on returning to Chamonix and would stay at this hotel again, but we would be sure to get a room with a normal window.
Lovely small hotel with great service

We had a great summer stay at Le Faucigny. We were in room 10 which had plenty of room for our family of 3, and opened up to a shared patio in front of the hotel, with a lovely view of Mont Blanc. The room was very quiet, the beds were incredibly comfortable! It felt extremely clean and like they were taking great care given the pandemic. The afternoon snacks were cancelled due to the pandemic, and breakfast was a bit more complicated than I imagine it usually is, as the reception had to serve everyone, which is to be expected given the precautions necessary. The spa was lovely, you have to reserve a time to use it privately due to Covid, which I think is a great idea. We reserved a parking spot for the car which I recommend because parking in Chamonix can be difficult.
We hope to return both in winter and next summer.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Great staff, great breakfast options, great location. Rooms were small - as expected. A great experience in a trying time (the start of the corona virus spread.)
Very helpful staff in booking travel arrangements.

Arrived in Chamonix around 1 pm, went to the hotel to see if they would store our bags until the 3 pm check in and the lady on reception was excellent , checking to see if our room was ready and allowing us to check in and showing us to our room all the time giving us information on the hotel and the area, the room was up two flights of narrow stairs and was compact but clean and comfortable (room 202) with a double bed and plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe ,there is also a dressing gown and slippers for each guest in the room, the bathroom had a shower cubicle (no bath) there was a wall mounted hairdryer and shower gel shampoo and conditioner supplied, the hotel offers free coffee and cake every day in the breakfast area which is always welcome after a day out walking/skiing , ask at reception for a Carte d 'hote this will allow you free bus travel in the local area , yes the rooms are a little smaller than normal but in Chamonix space is at a premium and they make the most of it , all the staff we dealt with were excellent and will go out of their way to help you , if we go back we will use this hotel again, thanks for making our first visit to Chamonix a great experience.

This was our first visit to Chamonix and we were looking for a small, central hotel that was reasonably priced. Le Faucigny met, if not exceeded, our expectations. Delightful inside and out, the staff were friendly, helpful and always on hand if needed. Afternoon refreshments were complimentary and very welcome after coming off the mountain and breakfast was delicious.
We booked a superior room and I have to say, I was still a little nervous about the size of the room we'd get having read other reviews about them being so small. However I need not have worried - we were given room 10 which was huge. On the ground floor with french doors onto the courtyard, it was brilliant. The bed was comfortable, everything was spotless and the location is spot on - central but at the same time, in a quiet corner so no late night noise from apres-ski! I wouldn't hesitate to stay (in room 10) again.
