While the location was convenient and the house itself was just darling, the customer service was less than acceptable. Upon arrival, we were unable to enter the main entrance without a door code, which was not provided. After calling the contact number, provided on my confirmation email and on the website directly, several times with no answer, I left a voicemail. Once contact was finally made, we were given instructions on where and how to enter, which could have easily been included on the confirmation email. We were also advised that free parking was provided next to the Inn, superseding the “book your parking” $15 parking spot listed on the website. After entering our room we quickly realized that it was not the same room pictured/ booked on the website. While the only significant difference was the lack of veranda access that was advertised and pictured, it was a major disappointment as that was the main reason for booking. The room was super cute and cozy, however missing any welcoming information about the area or even that of the Inn itself and the details of breakfast. The information on what and where breakfast was served is still yet to be determined, and was not worth the effort to even try to find out. Such a disappointing first impression of not only the Inn, but the bed and breakfast concept in general considering this was my first time at a B&B.

Great location to any place in the Charleston area. Wonderful room, and an amazing Veranda. The Inn spoke of true old South architecture. Very prompt help from staff! Awesome time away. We will defiantly recommend to our friends!!
NOT an INN, NOT a B&B, Not even a descent air B&B...

I never thought about the concept of an "Inn" of "B&B" without some level of customer service, i have no found one. The Ashley's rates are in line with other B&B in Charleston, my experience with them had been generally good. This place goes beyond bad service, they literally offer NO service whatsoever (except for room fee). There is no reception area, no staff on sight whatsoever -even during regular business hours. You call and may or may not get an answer, you may or may not get a call back. The extent of ANY service appears to be setting codes to get into your room up a unlighted and questionably safe staircase. The WiFi password does not function (explained as city wide internet outage, got access via Xfiniity without difficulty. The room is clean, that is something. My advice AVOID this place at all costs.

Chose Ashley Inn as love US ins and reviews describe this as B and B. There is no breakfast or housekeeping (3 nights stay without bins emptied or towels refreshed) No staff are on site and took around 17 hours to get reply to request re towels (not got a US cell phone so missed offer to bring some). Think owned by company now (could be reason for drop in standards). Good location for restaurants but busy road and inadequate curtaining to keep out bright porch light. So disappointing.

Very disappointed. Although Mgmt changed my room just not a place for me. Place needs a lot of work and I wasn’t aware no wine and cheese in the evenings or breakfast until after Checkin. Parking is a nightmare. So disappointed!! Huge crack in wall of my room with a mirror partially covering it. I travel all over the world and this location was misrepresented online!!
