Good value

Well appointed rooms, nicely decorated and with a great bar area. Easy parking and very convenient for the Cheshire countywide. Good access to the park and the walk / cycle tracks. One member of staff seemed to lack training on how to converse with customers but the rest of the team were great.

Lovely hotel and tasty afternoon tea

Reviewed 16 november, 2022

My friend and I went for Afternoon Tea 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon. The hotel is situated inside a park which I used to take my children to many years ago but the building was office spaces. Now a hotel it’s - it’s beautiful inside, the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Afternoon tea was sooooo good unlimited hot drinks too. Lovely furniture couldn’t fault anything

Lovely stay

Reviewed 16 november, 2022

My wife and I stayed for a short break to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This is a lovely boutique hotel in the centre of the park which in a built up area appeals to us. We stayed in the tower suite set on two floors. Downstairs was the bedroom, ample size with a comfy bed. Upstairs was a living room leading up to a separate bathroom area. Very modern and well equipped, there were two walk in showers so no arguing over the shower. The living space was spacious and comfortable with a mini bar and tea and coffee area. We stayed for bed nd breakfast which gives us the. Chance to experience the area. Breakfast was very relaxed and we were well looked after, there was plenty of choice for food, continental and English food was available nd fresh toast was plenty full. There was a downstairs bar area which was comfortable and well stocked. The staff looked after us at all times, the reception staff were very friendly and more than helpful. We enjoyed a few walks in the park, there was a duck pond next to the hotel to visit and plenty of wildlife in the park to enjoy. The hotel is on the flight path to the airport and we enjoyed watching the planes go by buy understood why some could find it annoying over a period of time. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Lovely venue and excellent service

Reviewed 8 november, 2022

Went with 20 colleagues for a day meeting and lunch. Service was excellent - nothing too much trouble for the lovely staff and the timings were spot on. Food plentiful and high quality. Have already booked to go back. Beautiful venue - colleagues said it felt like a real treat to be there! Thank you Team Oddfellows.

Nice hotel doing back street pub food

Reviewed 5 november, 2022

We went for my auntie’s 91st birthday lunch. The grounds and hotel are very nice and we visited there a few years ago. So we looked forward to going again. The staff were attentive and worked hard. They were very helpful although some a little inexperienced. The food however was bad. It’s an upmarket hotel selling bad back street pub food. If you are going to sell pizza, burgers and fish and chips at a hotel like this, they have to be nice, good quality and well cooked which this was not! Our pizza was like a microwaved meal pizza. The fish and chips were bad and we left most of it. The batter was soggy and tasted raw. Probably undercooked because the fish was thin and would have over cooked if fried long enough to cook the batter. The starter chicken skewers was nothing special and the dessert menu had sticky toffee pudding, which was ok but by the uniform block shape looked mass produced. The menu is very limited and cooked to a poor standard and quality. We would not rush back. A shame as it is such a nice building in a park.
