Fantastic holiday at the Arina Beach resort
Reviewed 27 September, 2021
Just returned from a 10 night stay at the Arina Beech resort, after an initial hiccup with the upgrade to a sea view we had booked in advanced we had a fabulous time.
All the staff worked so hard but would like to give a special mention to the pool bar (day and night time) staff they were amazing, such fun always had a smile. Also the Aegeo Spa staff were so friendly but very professional, especially Katerina she was amazing, she was lovely always went out of her way to say hello and give advise if required, the treatments were a little expensive but we'll worth it as a treat. The treatments are in wooden curtained off areas at the back of the beach and could be a little noisy and not so private at times as a curtain was often left open ( the weather was very hot so possibly to let the flow of air through, it didn't bother me but may be off putting for some people) when walking up from the beach you could see the people having their treatments.
The rooms were lovely and spacious and spotlessly clean, the annexe across the road had its own pool and pool bar but was sandwiched between 2 roads one of which was a dual carriage way so was very noisy, we spent the first night there due to the hiccup but glad we had upgraded.
We had room 3104 and had a fantastic sea view. The bungalows with own pools looked fabulous.
There was a small water park for children and water slides that can also accommodate adults (great fun) at the side of the block we stayed in.
There was an amazing selection of food for each meal time, even fussy eaters would find something to eat, the only gripe I had with the food was that it wasn't quite hot enough at times. There are help yourself beer, wine (red white and rose) and soft drinks pumps in the restaurant.
Would certainly visit this hotel again and definitely book a bungalow with pool if finances allowed.
If you say „ perfect” you think Arina Beach ;)

The most perfect hotel in Creta. I mean everything. People who work here work becouse of passion. They made hard work for us. Becouse they know we would like to have perfect holiday. And they made it. Of course perfectly. The rooms, the food, the beach, pools, animators, barmans, cleaness, just everything is perfect. And new. Come here and - like us, like we did ;) , give Arina Beach one star more. But remember - 5 star is for Arina Beach still not enough. We would really recommend it. Enjoy your holiday only here :)*

We adored our stay at Arina Beach Resort. The resort has everything and more that you would hope for in a premium all inclusive destination. Where to start…
A walk up white-sand beach straight from the pool area with plenty of bed options. Many different bar and snack areas with amazing options from very friendly staff. Wonderful cocktail options and special mention to Antonius who has great humour and a master of cocktail making - incredible service.
Food. All the classic Greek dishes done to perfection and so many options which are mixed up from day to day all delicious. The A La Carte restaurant was a personal favourite and a huge thank you to Lefteris who gave us such amazing service and attention throughout our entire stay, best service we’ve experienced at a hotel anywhere.
Rooms are truly fantastic quality and very well maintained. Thank you to our very friendly and attentive room cleaner, Angela.
Pool area and cocktail areas in the evening all provide great space for couples to enjoy the evening and unwind. Maybe the pool could be a tad warmer… that’s literally our only area for improvement, otherwise pure perfection.
Reception staff very helpful and important to note that the hotel has done an excellent job at ensuring guests are safe with appropriately integrated covid considerations.
We will be back! A special destination indeed
A unique and welcoming four-star hotel that deserves five stars.

There is something special about people who work in the Arina Beach Resort. Most are not doing it for money, the tips or perks. These are the people of passion, kind-hearted, open-minded, fun and curious. They love to give, and they love to care; they go above and beyond.
From the outside, you immediately notice your stay here is going to be unique and special. Entering via the lobby is a welcoming experience in itself. The vast openness of space coupled with opulence and luxury of tasteful decoration makes this a welcome you wish even some five-star hotels had.
The welcome that I received from the reception staff was professional, polite, and prompt. Throughout my seven-night stay, the team always maintained this approach and always with a smile.
To ensure fairness with reviews, I never announce in advance that I represent 'Go Explore Greece'. So, receiving a complimentary upgrade to a private bungalow (5009) with a private swim-up pool was a genuine and fantastic surprise.
The accommodation is new, clean and fresh, and it provides many welcoming luxuries, including:
Beachfront access with total sea view.
Walk-in shower with usual and above-head rain shower.
Ample storage room with lots of hangers.
Full-size fridge/icebox stocked and replaced daily with various soft drinks and water.
Luxurious daily complimentary toiletries.
Exclusive sunbathing area and sunbeds.
The 'vibe' of the hotel is one of calmness and relaxation. Beginning and ending with ALL staff, who always projected an image of this and with professionalism.
As a bungalow guest, I had the exclusive daily use of the 'Avra' A La Carte Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, 07:30 - 10:30 and 19:00 - 21:30
The 'Ariadne' main restaurant provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a vast selection for every taste, including vegetarian and vegan. The food is always of excellent quality, made and presented with exceptional care and attention to detail. Opening hours are:
Early Breakfast 07:00 - 07:30
Breakfast Buffet 07:30 - 10:30
Late Breakfast 10:30 - 11:00
Lunch Buffet 12:30 - 14:30
Dinner Buffet 18:30 - 21:30
The 'Sunset' Asian Restaurant is open 19:00 - 21:30 six times a week and serves an excellent and wide variety of foods associated with Chines and Japanese influence.
The 'Dia' Beach bar is open 10:30 - 17:30 and offers a good array of drinks and tasty snacks. I recommend the burger slider. It's a perfect combination of homemade quality beef with lettuce and tomato in a toasted bun.
The Pool bar is open 10:00 - 00:00 and offers a great selection of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, mocktails, spirits, beer, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
There are several pools and various areas for lounging and relaxing, so if your preference is music and action or quiet and calm, this resort caters for all. Children's entertainment is excellent, with several kids' rooms to keep little ones entertained out of the sun. The 'free' water park is a welcome addition and great fun for all the family.
Staying anywhere during covid rules can be a problem for staff as well as guests. But, this hotel dealt with the situation impeccably at all times. Even when guests must wear masks and plastic gloves to visit the buffet, initially, this was a slight inconvenience, but you went into the rhythm after a couple of days and didn't notice.
The wifi signal was always consistent throughout the day, with even video conferencing not a problem.
The onsite shop caters for most needs, including various sweets, chocolate, snacks, drinks, and even tasteful souvenirs.
For those Instagramers out there, I can assure you there are many opportunities to get those perfect pictures, videos, reels and stories.
So, the question is, would I come again? The answer is a resounding and definite YES!
And finally, I recognise that running a hotel is extremely hard work, and most of the time goes unnoticed and without praise. So, I want to doff my cap and say a big thank you to everyone at the Arina Beach Resort for making our stay such a wonderful experience. To every one of you, thank you so much for your time, effort, professionalism, and smiles.
Very good hotel

We spent 7 nights in this wonderful resort.
- modern, renovated rooms
- good wifi connection(including on the beach)
- good food, a lot of variety
- a la carte restaurant and assian. In the assian restaurant we enjoy the most. Kaycee was the best(she was always helping and carrying) and her husband the cook, is really professional. The food was the best that we had in an assian restaurant until today.
- big room with nice sea view(we booked an penthouse apartment)
- flexible hours for the restaurants and bars
- blue flag beach, very clean and long
- nice swimming pools and slides(both for childrens and adults)
- the soda drinks are local ones(you cannot find coca cola brand) The problem was that this local soda are really far away from the original ones. It’s a peety because the alcoholic cocktails and drinks are good quality but mixed with the local soda are not that good anymore.
We recommend this hotel because we had a great time and we will definitely book again a stay at this hotel.
