Very good but there some cons...
Hello. Of course is a 5-star hotel that is why your expectations are high. First some cons: 1) you want to drink a real coffee (not from a machine like in a 2 star hotel) no problem, but after 10 am... OMG, I am drinking coffee at 7 not 10. I do not understand and do not accept that the bar which is serving good coffee opens at 10... 2) wifi is awful, tragic.I do not understand how in 2020 the wifi in my room is not working! 3) I like swimming but before breakfast not after, but till 10 the Olympic swimming pool is being cleaned and there is a machine connected to electricity - I do not understand this 4) we are coming to our room around 5.30 pm we are going to the bar near the main restaurant, and the unpleasant barman says that we can not be given water beacuse he works after 6 pm - WTF? He is saying that I should go to main bar, really? All inclusive in a 5 star hotel? Beside this hotel is very clean, food is excellent, the beach is great, the swimming pools are superb. I think that the manager of the hotel should change some things to get 5 out of 5. Warm regards!
We was 3 times in this hotel. Everything is perfect. Very good food, big pools, nice watersides. And Mr Mpolakis is the best manager we have ever seen! This year we come the 4. time. The only thing what we wish is more cocktails, like mojito
Private pool to cold to use, all drinks are in disposable plastic cups
We were visiting Lyttos Beach in the beginning of September, when the weather was still wonderful (between 28 and 33 C during the day and no less then 22 C in the night). All the pools are not heated and the water was really cold. We even payed a lot for a private pool villa and couldn't use it - nobody at those villas was ever using them for then a couple of minutes, that is how cold they were! The areas are nice and maintenance is done very well. The whole areas are kept tidy and the rooms are very well cleaned. The food is average at best, but the drinks are awful. You get all your drinks, including beer and wine! from dispensers and in plastic cups only - this is not only massively polluting the world with garbage but it also give a sense of fast food to the place, not a decent place to have dinner. All in one, we would not go there again, it is just to much money for to little value.
Dead in down season
We were there in early November hoping to use all the fasciitis on the website! Turns out it’s only the room and food! The waterpark was closed. Swimming pools were not heated and basically not usable! The beach benches and umbrellas were taken away for the season! Even the towel service closed on our first day! The food was nothing close to the Greek/ Cretan food which is awesome outside the hotel! The area was also totally closed! Am not sure how it will look in summer, but for the winter a total no no! Even though the weather was beautiful and I don’t understand why they should consider it winter at all!
Less food for same price
This hotel organizes proffesional tennis tournaments few times per year, and so far it was very good. staff was always helpfull, especailly in front desk. In restaurant most of them are nice, apart from few ones, who are rude and stop us every time and demand to see hotel bracelet every time, even we are staying for 3-4 weeks, and they should remeber us so far. Our stay in april was perfect, big roooms, great food. becouse of that we came back now in november. But now situation is changed a lot, they dont want to give us bigger rooms, even it doesnt change anything for them, big rooms are staying empty. Even that would not be a problem, but suddenly 5 days ago, viraety of food is not the same like before. It is three times smaller, less options for food, but they kept same prices, which i dont find fair. I dont know what exactly happen, they still have same number of guests like one week before, but food is 3 times less good. I will make sure that everybody i know in tennis world are familiar with this behavoir of management of this hotel.
