Stayed 5 nights

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were exceptional. However we had a room facing the front of the hotel which was very noisy due to the traffic on the main road. We could not shut the windows because the room was so hot. There were fans in the room but these didn't make much difference to the heat.
Parking was another problem because there are not enough spaces for the number of rooms in the hotel. We had to double park which did not make other guests happy. On one evening we were able to leave our keys at the desk and our car was moved for us. The staff did advise on alternative parking but this was never available. There was a car park near the harbour which you had to pay to use 24 hours a day.
Unfortunately what we thought would be a relaxing break turned out to be exhausting, we didn't sleep for the five nights that we were there and having to worry about parking after a day out is not acceptable.
Such a shame.

Staff awful! Never smiled once and messed up the bills. Sardines on toast and salad, app,e crumble and ice cream and a glass of wine (£11.00, disgraceful)! £29.00 my friends bill, for what was really a snack off the market menu. The place has been done up beautifully but the atmosphere is awful. Won’t be going there again.
Wonderful wedding at this hotel

Last weekend we held the wedding of my daughter at The Kings Arms Hotel Christchurch.
We arrived on Saturday with all the wedding attire and luggage, this was kindly unloaded and taken to our room .
We were greeted by the Manager on Duty Leszek whom ensured that our check in was done and made to fleet very welcome.
That afternoon we went to the bar and was greeted by not Only Leszek but Matthew also whom was working behind the bar.
Both of these guys ensured that we received the best experiences ever.
That evening we met friends in the bar for dinner .
The food and drinks and service was outstanding , the staff on duty were fantastic and made sure we had the best experiences ever.
We later visited the cocktail bar and that was superb too.
The next morning we were greeted by Leszek again for breakfast, such a welcoming gentleman that certainly gives 110% at his job and ensures that nothing goes a miss and nothing is too much trouble.
Sunday was the day of our daughters wedding , we were certainly looked after in every possible way needed .
All the staff went out of there way to ensure that we had the best day ever.
Collette the wedding co ordinator was fantastic and ensured my daughter was looked after the best that she could be.
We were greeted by Leszek as we headed over to the Pavilion for the wedding , yet again an absolutely wonderful caring gentleman no matter what time of day we come in to contact with him, he simply is the best, he constantly ensures that everything was and is just perfect for us.
The whole afternoon during the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast was perfect.
Then we moved back over to the hotel for the evening wedding reception.
This was where we were greeted my Matthew again whom was working behind the bar, a very king young man that made sure everyone was happy and looked after throughout the wonderful evening that we were having .
I cannot thank everyone whom looked after us enough for making this the best day ever for our daughters wedding day.
Special thanks again to Leszek whom I now am aware is the operations Manager and Matthew who looks after the bar , also to Collette and all the staff involved on Sunday ensuring the food and drink was served and a fantastic experience was had by us all .
Many thanks Jackie and Colin Gunningham parents of the Bride on 12.09.21
£12.65 for 2 pints of Peroni = outrageous

It was medium busy when we came, but understaffed.
The manager was berating the bar staff for not mixing drinks quickly enough but never bothered to actually help.
When we asked for our bill it included a discretionary service charge of 10% - for 2 pints of lager!!! - ordinarily we wouldn't pay it but the bar staff were being given such a hard time we thought it unfair to cause them more trouble.
We didn't come back.
It's smart and trendy, has high bar stools around the bar, but it's too expensive for me and the treatment of the staff left me feeling uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel, bar area not open but lounge area for a drink was nice. Staff were great .
Room was very warm, no ~A/C but found a dyson fan but still too warm at night.
Our friends room was the same but they also had an issue with the toilet seat which was broken, they reported this on the first day but nothing was done about this during our 2 night stay!!
Breakfast was nice and good portions, my only issue was the 'freshly baked baguette', it was the cheap part baked you get from supermarket! We were expecting nice artisan bread (from the artisan bakery in town), but no, it was undercooked and stodgy!! The bloomer toast was cheap 'mothers price' bread!
I would also expect freshly squeezed orange juice but this was out of a long life carton!
Overall it's a lovely hotel just a few issues.
